Located one block from Union Square, Tiny lobby, fairly friendly staff. Room was on 14th floor as we were in the "Club" part. Rooms are large and relatively well appointed. Decent TV and DVD player. Alarm/radio. Tea and small coffee filter maker. Housekeeping is variable. I suspect this is just America and may be related to our European lack of...

We picked this hotel from the reviews on TA and we are so glad we did. It can be quite daunting finding a hotel in a city you don't know so we decided to look at the top 10 on TA for San Francisco and then looked at value and location and I have to say that The Donatello was...

This was a business/pleasure trip for me and my wife. We just happened upon this hotel after we had already booked somewhere else. Couldn't justify paying the higher price at the other hotel, so we opted to stay at The Donatello. We could not have been happier. The rooms were very comfortable, had free wireless internet, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker,...

The Donatello is very conveniently located near Union Square. There are lots of restaurants, clubs and shopping near by and it's not a super touristy area. The rooms are spacious; we were there for two nights after a trip to Napa with family. My husband and I shared the king bed while our adult son slept on the sleeper sofa....

I haven't even arrived at the Donatello yet but I can say if Peter the Concierge is a sign of the type of service I can expect to get there, it will definatelly be 5*....I called in simply to check on my reservation and ask a simple question as to renting a car. Peter was friendly, curtious and even told...

We just returned from a wonderful 3 nights at the Donatello. While I booked the hotel based on TripAdviser information, I was not aware that it was an RCI Gold Crown Resort. This was a pleasant surprise upon arrival. The location is exceptional, a block from Union Square. Complimentary coffee in the Club Lounge every morning was a great start....

The overall Service was excellent, the rooms were...

The Donatello is a nice hotel with great location. The hotel is located in the theatre district approximately a block from Union Square. My wife and I stayed two nights at the Donatello during a recent visit to San Francisco. Our spacious studio suite was on the ninth floor. The suite was clean and nicely furnished with a king bed,...

We couldn't have asked for service any better during our stay at the Donatello Hotel. From the front desk clerks to the housekeeping staff and bellhops, we felt that we were very appreciated. Our room was extremely spacious, especially considering that we were in downtown San Francisco....only a block from Union Square. The staff was warm and friendly and helpful...
