My daughter and I recently traveled up the California coast and stayed 3 nights at The Fairmont. When we checked in and told the front desk staff that we were enjoying a long anticipated father/daughter trip, they offered to upgrade us to a suite at a very reasonable price. The suite was huge and had beautiful corner views with two...

From the moment you pull up to this hotel, you get a sense that you will be taken care of. The staff is amazing and very helpful. Our room was located in the tower section of the hotel and was pleasantly surprised when we walked in. The bed was huge and soft and welcoming. The view of the city from...

Fantastic hotel would highly recommend to anyone to stay there. Great location staff very helpful the room was very nice with a great view of the city. The only dissapointment I would say, and this pretty much applies to all the hotels in the same category as the Fairmont is that the valet parking is outrageously expensive, I feel that...

The entrance to this hotel is amazing. You enter into a beautiful hall with elaborate decor, almost feels like Versailles. We came here for our honeymoon and the hotel staff wasted no time making us feel special. We were immediately upgraded to a superior room with the best views of the city. It was almost like our own luxurious apartment...

Very elegant historical hotel, well located up the hill, high quality bed and bathroom. Lobby at Christmas is magical. Only downside: how thin the walls were, we could hear our neighbors really well! Great concierge, helped us get last minute Alcatraz tickets.

Very ornate, fancy old style hotel. Very nice room, comfortable bedding. Great views from the top of Nob Hill. Had breakfast in the Laurel Room one day, nice experience. Not the most comfortable place I've ever been, but an interesting experience.

We stayed at the Fairmont for three days of a 6 day trip to San Fran/Napa Valley. Hotel is beautifully decorated and we had an amazing view of the Bay from our room. Walking distance of amazing restaurants or a quick uber ride away. Pricey, but worth it

We had a lovely stay at The Fairmont. Had to wait quite a while for our room to be ready but apart from that everything was perfect. Staying in Nob Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
