We stayed at Hotel Vertigo for 2 nights at the end of August. We were very pleased with our choice as it was close to Union Square and the shops. We like walking so we did walk to the Palace of Fine Arts from here which was about an hour, about a 20 minute walk to Lombard Street, 30 minutes...

First trip to San Fran, everything walking distance! The room and bed were large and comfortable, huge closet and helpful front desk. There was even a small refrigerator, pleasant view of the patio outside and overall great experience. Will definitely stay again.

Hotel vertigo is fine - if your paying $70 - $100 per night in the off season. Its just a building with some rooms in it, nothing more - no bellman, concierge, restaurant, room service etc. However when we booked it for part of our road trip throughout california it ended up being the most expensive (by far) $160 -...

There is no a/c in the building. This wouldn't be THAT bad since it is in SF and the weather wasn't too hot in August, however, our window provided no breeze making it uncomfortable in the daytime and early evening. The room could have been cleaner. Also, it's a bit hard to get a cab from this location. Front desk...

Arrived to this boutique hotel and check in was a breeze. Arriving at our 5th floor, back of the building facing room, the sun was streaming in. A little courtyard was seen out the window Nothing special to look at but it was quiet. Bed was quite comfortable, and they had a really fancy clock radio for your i-pod. I...

I liked a lot this hotel because of the location and the room. Even it overlooked the courtyard it was very nice. The bed is comfortable and the amenities are very good. The staff is polite and helpful. You are very close to the town centre and even if you cannot eat a full breakfast in the hotel there are...

I absolutely loved this hotel. As an architect with hotel design experience and as someone that used to travel for work, this hotel was a spring breeze amongst towers of concrete dust. No, it does not have the standard fake marble counter tops, or 'say nothing to be offensive' boring, neutral carpet, wall covering, window treatment and furnishings. Instead, you...

This hotel is in a great location, better price and value than a lot of boutique hotels in the vicinity. We used to stay at Galleria Park because of the close proximity to the BART, but their prices made such an enticement less appealing. This hotel has coffee and tea in the lobby in the mornings, but quite frankly unless...

The Vertigo hotel is nice, the decor in the bedroom is funky and modern. Bathroom is nice and the bed is great. Common areas perhaps are not as nice as the rooms. I guess - it is great value for money. I think when you look at the details in the room is not as polished and well finished as...

Overall nice hotel - clean and updated rooms. Love the robes they have in the rooms - soft and comfy. Comfortable room. We had a room in the back of the hotel, so the view was of their courtyard. It was quiet, at least. Only one elevator, but two sets of stairs. We were on the 6th floor so going...
