We made last minute plans to stay hear a week before our anniversary. They were so accommodating. The Antietam room on the 2nd floor is awesome. You get a huge porch that overlooks the garden. They roast and brew their own coffee! One of the many exciting things at breakfast.

From lively, Civil War-themed décor to lavish, lovingly-made breakfasts, this was the best of the B&Bs we've visited. Joanne & Paul worked hard to make their guests happy and comfortable, but made it seem effortless. Always homemade cookies in the dining room and breakfast recipes from Better Homes and Gardens (or possibly Southern Living). The grounds and garden were at...

My wife and I stayed at the JR Inn during a weeklong getaway which included DC. It is really a fabulous old home with fascinating early 19th C. and Civil War history behind it. Joanne and Paul were excellent hosts and the breakfasts were delicious (and ample). Although we missed the Memorial Day parade along Main Street on Saturday, we...

The room was very nice with a private entrance and a patio. This was nice! My husband had a place to smoke his cigar without bothering me or anyone else. The owner is extremely knowledgable about the inn and the area. We will stay here again.
