I stayed there this past weekend. The wife and I visited Harper's Ferry for some hiking and outdoor activities. Overall, it was a good experience and more than I expected for the price. It is an older place but very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again if I am back in the area.

Based on the mostly positive reviews viewed here on Tripadvisor, we decided to stay at the Econo Lodge as an alternative to the more expensive hotels in Charles Town.. As other have said, the staff is extremely friendly, but the hotel is definitely dated. The lobby and upstairs hallway smelled of cigarette smoke, and the heating unit in our room was...

Dear dwalters872, Thanks very much for your feedback. I'm sorry that you found the hotel dated and breakfast below average. In fact, we just renovated the entire breakfast area and lobby furniture not too long ago. We haven't done the corridors yet but we will definitely consider it! We've even put in several new digital heating/cooling units. Thank you very...

All the staff were excellent. Rita was super super nice! There is no elevator but that wasn't a big deal to me. The view is pretty nice from the 2nd floor room. The 2nd floor room was nice and quiet. The wifi worked great! There is a little nature park next to the hotel, that was nice to just get...

My husband and I spent a weekend here to celebrate our anniversary. It was amazing! We booked a nonsmoking king room. The people at the desk were so friendly and the housekeepers were so sweet! Breakfast was included in our price and it was better than we expected! It was very convenient to the casino and the National Park. The...

My boyfriend and I wanted to go to Charles Town Races for our anniversary and we decided to get a hotel room for the night. We didn't want to stay directly near the casino as we knew it would probably be a bit more expensive. We looked a little further down the road in Harpers Ferry and found this little...

This place is very reasonable, quiet, easily accessible to Hollywood Casino and Harper's Ferry. My friend booked a room for an Event at Hollywood Casino. We were greeted by, Rita, who instantly made us feel at home. She proceeded to check us in, advised of continental breakfast, Wi Fi connection password, and directions to our room. The room was so...

I enjoyed my Wed. night stay in mid-January; agree with all positive comments below. Steep uphill walk to Anvil Inn unrewarded with supper; they decided not to open for business that day, despite schedule. I should have walked a few blocks to the pizza place, pizza or no, because next day I saw it was popular with locals. The mile(?)...

Dear Venturesome, Thanks very much for your feedback on your stay in Harpers Ferry during the winter. Spring is here now and the weather is perfect for the outdoors. The Anvil will still likely be closed Mon/Tues but Mena's Pizzeria should be open (popular with locals). Do come back and visit us this Spring/Summer. Sincerely, Yin

We stayed there for one day. Rooms are decently size, clean and the staff is very friendly. Sometimes it is possible to have two adjacent rooms that are connected with a door, this is ideal for groups up to four people. Parking spots in front of the building are very convenient. Breakfast was exceptionally good for this price.

Nice clean room with your usual breakfast bar. Staff was very friendly at check in/out. Within easy driving distance to everything. Was a little far to walk to the historical sites. Very nice views of the surrounding mountains. All in all not a bad place to stay.

It's not the ritz but it's descent for an overnight in Harpers Ferry. It's the closest hotel to the lower town but it's a bit far to walk to the lower town. Super close to the AT. Clean room and helpful front desk. Close to highway - keep the fan or heat running all night. As advertised- no big surprises.
