This gem is tucked in to the heart of the town of Appomattox but you would never know it until you turn through the thickly tree-lined gateway. The old English Tudor style is incredibly inviting and the grounds are lush with foliage. The rooms are large, comfortable and each has its own charm while the owners are attentive and the...

We wanted a getaway for the weekend and Longacre really is a great place to relax and is so quiet! We stayed in the Maisonette Suite - only hiccup was the whirlpool was awaiting repairs, but we still had a nice long soak. At the end of the bed was an ice bucket and glasses which came in handy since...

We booked this b&b after reading all the rave reviews. What a let down. On turning into the drive we were met with an unkept garden and a run down looking house. There was no reply to ringing the door bell so after a few minutes we rang the number displayed in the porch to which the reply was I'll...

We booked a weekday night to attend a play at a local venue. The house is lovely and very-well appointed. Comfortable chairs and chaise lounges were abundant as well as interesting collections and books. Our bed was very comfortable. We had difficulty communicating with the management, as both phone messages and emailings were not promptly or consistently answered. The breakfast...

Booked this B & B online through Orbitz. Sent this email to them and it was refused. I need to let you know how disappointed I am with your service. On August 31, I booked the Longacre Bed and Breakfast in Appomattox VA. Yesterday, Sept. 1, I called the inn to confirm and was told that the inn had been...

Nice bed and breakfast in Virginia. I needed a place to stay before an interview and it was exactly what I needed. I stayed in the Magnolia room and it smelled amazing! After a long drive it was nice to relax. Very welcoming host and delicious breakfast.

We arrived late on a holiday weekend. Our key and our room were waiting for us. We stayed in the Magnolia Room, a king just off the dining room. It was quite roomy. The bed was very comfortable. Luckily for us, the owners had decided not to serve a full breakfast. Had they done so, we might have been awakened...

We stayed in the manor room. Loved the king size bed and view onto the front of the home. Hospitality grand and lovely breakfast in a gracious dining room. There isn't much to do in town but we walked. We had dinner at the spring house up the road near concord. That was good. As another reviewer remarked, the bathroom...

My husband, daughter and I drove to VA so my daughter could spend time with her BFF.(she had moved there the year before) We had never stayed at a B&B before and since our daughter was going to stay with her friend we decided to splurge. We got there several hours earlier than anticipated. We were met by the owner,...

We've stayed at Longacre twice in recent years while visiting the Appomattox CH Nat'l Historical Park and also taking in the nearby National D-Day Memorial in Bedford VA - a must see for history buffs. Longacre is likely the BEST place to stay in Appomattox, and a very nice B&B. It is stuffed with fine antiques and furnishings from the...
