We had site number 13 overlooking the Colorado and relatively secluded. Easily room for two tents. The toilets are campground toilets, so wasn't expecting much more luxury there. Only about 20 minutes drive from center of Moab for all the supplies and food you need, and 20 min from the entrance to Arches. Wish we stayed there longer. Didn't seem... More

Lots of things I loved about this campground...I was solo camping for most of the week and I felt like I had plenty of privacy but was not isolated. I felt safe as a female camping solo. I was lucky enough to find a spot with some good shade which is important on 100+ degree days. Get there early and... More

There are a string on campgrounds along the River Road from Moab to Castle Valley and we felt that Big Bend was the most roomy and secluded of them all. The sites are generous in size with good shade from cottonwoods along the bank. It's around 7 miles to the main road so not too far and the scenery is... More

We stayed in campsite number one. The weather was perfect and our site was somewhat secluded. The only bad part is that it was at the end of a dead-end and everybody was searching for campsites and would drive to the dead-end and turn around. The river it was pretty close but there aren't too many places for little kids... More

Take the 128 off 191 or coming from I-70. This place is amazing!!!! The Colorado River cuts through this place with Epic views and activates. Campsites are clean and offer peaceful views. For roughing it (so some say), you can't beat this location! Worth the stay!!!

If you are visiting the Parks & want to camp & roughing it? This is the place! This location was perfect for us & after our hike & visits to the park, Colorado river is right over our back yard for amazing dip. The view is phenomenal! We always try to camp at Big Bend campground when we're in Moab. The grounds are well-kept, it's right on the river with huge sheer rock faces on either side (makes for beautiful sunsets) and there's lots of space, plus you are walking distance to the Big Bend bouldering routes (for the rock climbers out there) and you can drive... We chose Big Bend just because of it's location near a big bend in the Colorado. It's a first come first served and I'd suggest starting your search before 10AM if you expect to get a spot in any of the campgrounds on BLM land that border the Colorado River. The sites are all we kept but the tent placement... More

These are a set of BLM campgrounds along the colorado river in a deep valley. They're all quite similar but we chose Hal Canyon as it had some protection from the strong winds blowing through that week. A 10-15 min drive to Moab and Arches NP. First come first Served at $12 per night. Some of the tent pitches are... More

We took a detour to Moab when the weather turned VERY cold in southern Colorado. What an amazing place Moab was. We spent 2 days just sightseeing and hiking in Arches NP. We found a beautiful camp site on BLM land on the Colorado River along Rt. 128. It was Columbus Day weekend, the temps were still in the 50's... More
