We rented an open bungalow/hut (Chickee cottages). It was expensive (same price as good hotel in area). It was the most unfriendly campsite Ive been in. I'm used to tent camping. Minimum soap and towels supplied. Furniture old and ugly. Hesitant to sleep on the bad and old mattress. Shared washrooms with the other campers. Most dirty and oldest washrooms...

We spend 2 nights here. RV campground is located in the Everglades. RV camping sites are not that large but a lot of privacy. Staff is ok and toilets and bathrooms are also ok. Not far from Shark Valley

This is one of my favorite campsites ever and definitely my favorite thus far on our Cali-Florida road trip. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. Everyone here is so nice and accommodating! The gate is open 24/7 so if you get here late at night you can still get a great spot. They have cabins,...

Trail Lakes Campground is in the Big Cypress National Preserve, they have both hook ups and cabins with water and electricity. The area is rustic but trails and picnic area. A good base camp for canoeing.

Went there over MLK weekend 2017, 2 of us in a tent. Called ahead. Said no reservation necessary as many tent sites available, even with electric & water. But when we arrived, all electric sites were taken. No worries, the primitive site was OK, on a small pond, so scenic, with a campfire area, lots of grass for the tent,...

We stayed in a cabin, which was basic but very clean and comfortable. The cabin has also electricity and air-conditioning. You even have free WiFi. The campground is very beautiful and peaceful. The owner, Jack is a really nice and laid-back guy. He really does his best to accommodate your needs. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I also...

Spent several days camping here in November as a base camp for canoeing. I will definitely be back. This is a pretty, well maintained property with an absolutely awesome location - in the middle of Big Cypress between the Fakahatchee Strand and the Turner River. The night sky was incredible, best I've seen in many years. The staff was absolutely...

We stayed here for one night last week whilst doing a pole boat tour and on the way to the Keys. We stayed in one of the Chickee Huts. What a great experience- such a peaceful place and had a great night's sleep. There is no electricity in the huts and it really is back to basics and this is...

First off let me say that this isn't one of those fancy high end RV parks. If you are looking for adventure and a peaceful place to camp in the natural beauty of Big Cypress/the Everglades this place is highly recommended. Our family loves to come and spend time here. This is a great place to escape the hustle and...
