Period hotel in need of renovations. The room was clean, but aged furnishings, full sized bed that was supposed to be a queen sized bed, extremely cheap mattress and other details made the price of the room excessive. The front desk staff was friendly, but gave us little introduction to amenities. We did not know they had morning breakfast, found...

We stayed here for two nights. We knew it was not in the best of areas, but as there was a restaurant on site, with reasonable reviews, we were not too worried as we would not be going out after dark…. Unfortunately, after we ordered our food, we asked for a drink, and were told we would have to go...

First of all this place has been sold!! We were there on 2-28-16 with another couple. When we arrived that afternoon about 4:30 pm the doors were all locked and they had no lights whatsoever on. They soon let us in and we were checked in, the new people that have bought this- I'm not sure what nationality they are,...

We stayed over a long weekend while visiting the Everglades. Homestead is an easy drive to the Ernest Coe entrance to the National Park. The Redland Hotel is a historic building with very traditional decor and furniture. The room was clean and comfortable. There is on site parking and a nice restaurant. Staff are welcoming and helpful both in the...

We picked this as a base from which to explore the Everglades national park and stayed for two nights. The building is apparently one of the oldest in Homestead and is interesting in itself. If you want to know more just ask Mark. Our prime criteria of clean, comfortable and quiet were met. We stayed in room 201 which had...

From the moment we checked in on a recent Friday afternoon until our departure Saturday morning we were treated like special guests by owner Mark Bell. He graciously showed us our room, how to enter the lovely historic building after hours, the nice balcony and other amenities. We spent the evening at Schnebly's winery, a must visit local winery and...

We chose Homestead for its proximity to the Glades, and chose Hotel Redland as the best small hotel in the area. Both met our expectations. Downtown Homestead is indeed close to the Glades but otherwise does not have much to offer. Walking the main street was below average although it was a very short walk from the hotel to a...

thank you for taking the time to post a review. So sorry about the AC leak, If we had known we would have immediately moved you to another room. You are right, the AC was leaking heavily, and we immediately closed the room for repair. I wish I would have been there upon checkout! We value our guests. I hope...

We did a weekend trip to Homestead to see Coral Castle and Schnebly Winery. Stayed overnight at The Hotel Redland. The room was spacious and clean and the bathroom was clean and updated, yet still keeping the historic décor. The attached restaurant and bar, The Whistle Stop, was so good we went for lunch and then again for dinner (bartender...
