We recently visited Asheville for two nights with some friends and selected the Haywood Park Hotel, both for its location and the fact that it sounded interesting, being housed in a former department store. We couldn't have been happier with our choice; a number of really great restaurants were within walking distance, and the shopping in the vicinity wasn't so...

Can't say enough about this hotel. Located in the heart of historic Asheville, the hotel was a venerable Department Store (first Bon Marche then Ivey's) converted into 30 very spacious and well-appointed rooms. Everyone from the parking attendant to the front desk associates and the general manager went out of their way to make us feel at home. Wish there...

We enjoyed our stay in this renovated, historic building, which was a department store. Our room was large and comfortable. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable about local restaurants and things to do. The Hop-on, Hop-off bus stopped directly in front, so there was no need to use our car during our 2 day visit. The hotel is within easy walking...

Excellent hotel in a remodeled department store.. Clean, spacious, and right in the middle of downtown. Superb location. Staff is great. Love the chocolate truffles with the nightly turn-down service. Highly recommended.

Centrally located and easy walking to galleries and restaurants. As an historic building that used to be a department store, it was interesting to see displays on each floor that represented what merchandise had been sold there in the early 1900s. The elevator voiceover welcomed us to the "menswear department "! The only negative is that the Wifi service was...

Excellent service and friendly staff. Stayed one night and wish I could have stayed longer. Convenient downtown location. Within walking distance of eateries and historic landmarks. A short drive from the blue ridge parkway. This is an old Bon Marce' department store which has been refurbished and made into a hotel. They have kept some of the fun history.

Resource Institute Inc. has had a long-term arrangement with Haywood Park Hotel for multiple yearly meeting spaces and rooms for my Board members. I can not over emphasize the excellent staff and acomodations at the hotel. Central location, pampering of guests, staff bends over backwards to meet your every need. If you're looking for first class place to stay in...

Located in the center of downtown Asheville this hotel meets all requirements of great service, excellent location, many amenities, comfort and class. The rooms are huge with large sitting areas and very large bathrooms. The staff cannot do enough for you. The hotel, a former department store, is old but very well maintained. If you like hotels with a history...

The Hotel is an old, re-purposed department store. Everything in your room will reflect that sort of odd size disproportion that comes with the space being made into a hotel. Totally unique. The only down sides we experienced were the strangely archaic shower plumbing, which was complex in a circa 1973 way. Not a real problem, just a strange learning...
