Upon arrival I realized I had made a booking error. Beth, one of the wonderful staff, assured me they could accommodate us. We were relieved and spent 3 fabulous days with Pete and Lori. The breakfast as others said is a do-not-miss part of the experience. The rooms were great and comfortable. We walked to town for the many dinner...

Friendly, helpful host and hostess. Excellent breakfasts and snacks. Well appointed and comfortable room. Lovely, authentic antique décor. Easy walk to town. On site parking. I would happily stay here again and for those attending the Montford Sreet Art and Music Festival, you can just walk outside the door and be there!

WOW, I will try my hardest to describe the amazingness that is The Black Walnut Bed and Breakfast. We first arrived around 630pm and were greeted with cookies, wine and other small appetizers. And of course other guest that were already in house and Mr. Peter. The wine down was great and the conversation even better. Fast forward to the...

This was our second trip to Asheville. Last trip we stayed at the Grove Park Inn. This time we want a different experience. The Black Walnut B&B is wonderful! It is a Select Registry property, located in historic Montford District. We stayed 2 nights and will definitely stay there again our next trip. The property is excellent. The house has...

We had a wonderful stay at the Black Walnut B&B. I booked a room for two days last minute and it exceeded our expectations. The staff were warm and welcoming, the room was gorgeous, appetizers and drinks a delight, and breakfast exceptional. We visited two local restaurants (within 2 block walking distance) where the food was absolutely terrific. No getting...

My husband and I spent one night at the Black Walnut Inn on a recent trip to Asheville. The house itself is beautifully restored and furnished, and the wide front porch is to die for! We spent some very relaxing time there in their rocking chairs. We stayed in the Holly room which had the most comfortable bed I have...

It is obvious the passion that Peter and Lori have for their B&B. Every item has their personal touch from conversation to breakfast to the design. My husband and I stayed in the Dogwood, which was such an interesting, charming room with 3 separate sections: the bedroom, the bathroom, and a small sitting room. The breakfasts were yummy and substantial,...

We had a wonderful stay at the Black Walnut B&B Inn. Peter, Lori, Linda, and Beth were warm, accommodating, and knowledgeable hosts. The owners, Peter and Lori, are very involved in the running of the B&B and are delightful to talk to; both are terrific story tellers and have a great sense of humor. Peter's advice on things to do...

Exquisitely decorated, stately but welcoming building, lovingly attented garden/property, and most of all: fantastic spoiling attention from Peter - the master story teller, Linda - so welcoming, she's like instant family - and Lori with her sharp sense of humor. The three of them double as serious kitchen stars, so enjoy their breakfasts and evening snacks.
