Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Sourwood Inn. It was our introduction to North Carolina and we never wanted to leave! The inn is lovely with comfortable, appropriate furnishings. The rocking chairs on the large deck are just right for losing yourself in the view. Our room was quiet, comfortable, and set up for relaxing. Our hostess,... More

Very clean, spacious up to date rooms, owners are extremely nice, helpful, and professional. Food is outstanding. 5 stars - we'll be back. Perfect getaway to de-stress but close enough to run into Asheville for some city activities. Great hiking - 5 miles from Blue Ridge parkway . Loved it !!!

My husband and I just returned home from our three day stay at Sourwood Inn and we’ve reminisced about our lovely stay so much that we’re planning another visit soon. Everything at Sourwood was excellent – the staff, amenities, meals, scenery and hiking. Our stay was more than we ever expected. We relaxed and recharged at Sourwood. We both highly... More

My wife and I stayed at Sourwood while touring the length of the Blue Ridge Parkway. We had opted to do the entire trip at Inns and B&Bs, wherever possible, and Sourwood without any question was the very best of all our stays. The location was an easy drive from the Parkway, yet seemed to be out in the middle... More

After spending just one night here, I told my husband that if I ever need to get away from it all, I'll be here! What you see on the website is pretty accurate - serenity! Getting here is...fun? Scary? Both? Haha! I live in the Lowcountry of SC so driving through the mountains and up their super narrow, curvy drive... More

We loved our stay at the Sourwood Inn. Our room was spacious, clean, and offered a view of lush greenery and distant mountains. There is now AC in the rooms also, but we didn't even need to run ours for our August visit. The grounds offers really nice walking trails and the Inn provides a map. The food at the... More
