This hotel I booked through priceline. As I checked in I loved the lobby decor. Very updated and sheik. I asked the receptionist if I could extend my trip a night. As she smirked rudely at me she said I had to pay for 2 additional nights at $800+, when I booked at $250, due to fall season price galging. So me and my mother in law go up to room and was ok. I've stayed at quite a few Hiltons before: garden and others and this room was lack-luster. It was spacious which was nice, but damp. It was so moist the blanket and sheets didn't feel dry and the air conditioner made it worse. The bed was so awful. I might as well of slept on the concrete outside. Then after the long un-sleepable night, I was actually glad I didn't waste more money on this dump. I didn't expect an amazing view,, but I didn't expect a ghetto trailer park as the view I paid $250 for. To make matters worse, we went to eat free breakfast, and some lady has her kid at breakfast bar coughing all over all the food out. Every single thing. This isn't their fault, but when I told them, they did nothing to rectify except tell me I should've said something sooner since the family with the covid child coughing all over everything was gone already. I always thought I could rely on Hilton to provide top notch hospitality, but I'm questioning if they actually aren't worth it now. So disappointed with the hotel, stayed next night at a quality it 2 doors down and it was better than Hilton . If you're looking to stay here, just dont!!!

Hotel's Favourite
New and very clean. 10 mins via freeway to downtown and on a hill with a nice view from front but back overlooks a trailer park. They planted landscaping which will grow up to hide trailers. Overall a nice hotel w small reasonably priced rooms and so so mattresses

Tru by Hilton Asheville East is about a 15-minute drive to downtown, just off the interstate. Parking is free. Tru has a modern pop-art design style using bright primary colors, a little bit cutesy for my taste but not a problem. I switched from a king bed room to a 2-double bed room when there was a problem with my door locking. The double-bed room was considerably larger. The room is very well-lit and has plenty of storage options, shelves and pegs to hand stuff. There was a mini-fridge, iron and ironing board. There was no safe in the room. I am of the firm opinion that every hotel room in this day and age should have a room safe for your valuables. There were plastic squeeze dispensers for soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc. but you have to squeeze very hard to get the stuff to come out. If you have arthritis or other condition limiting such ability, this is not the place for you, or bring your own. The bathroom was large with lots of counter space. Bed was good. The included breakfast was very nice with both hot (eggs, sausage, oatmeal, pancakes) and cold selections, and bagels you can toast. The coffee wasn't great, pretty weak. Overall, no major quibbles with this hotel.

Our room at Tru was small, but very nice. Love the dispensers for shampoo, soap , etc... We were passing through Asheville on the way to the Blue Ridge Parkway & the hotel is very close to the entrance. The breakfast bar was good too

Stayed here for one night while passing through Asheville. Very impressed with the hotel as everything was clean, new, friendly staff. Brightly lit rooms and were spacious. Plenty of outlets for charging. Nice having uncarpeted floors. Would highly recommend.
