The motel was below average compared to other downtown motels, but way above others when comparing bang for your buck. Free parking but it is limited. Good rooms which have updated electronic hookups. Older unit which is hanging in there and doing a good job. Will go again.
This hotel (motel?) is a great location, and for the price, it's a great value. The rooms have been recently refurbished- nice new mattresses, new carpet, linens, wallpaper, etc. (sure, the style is still classic Ramada Inn)- not what most would consider stylish, but very clean and comfortable. It is a bit loud at night on the weekends, and there are no frills. But for a fraction of what the other, fancy hotels in downtown cost, this was a great choice for us. We would definitely stay here again.
Great place to spend a solo weekend in Asheville. This hotel could not be more right in the heart of downtown Asheville. Yes, it is dated, but the rooms are super clean with comfortable beds. The staff has been more than helpful and friendly. Definitely worth a stay for a budget stay in a 5 star location.
Centrally located in the arts district. Could walk to all places we were interested in visiting. Room was clean and odor free. Bed was comfy and quiet at night. Locating the door to check in was a little difficult as it's not marked. Recommend this for those of us not wanting to spend several hundred dollars to just sleep.
I wish I could give 3.5, as that would be most appropriate. This was a fine base for me exploring downtown Asheville the last weekend in June. On the plus side, there is a complimentary breakfast, a small pool to cool down (if not so much exercising) and best of all it's within walking distance of some great restaurants in downtown. For the weekend I was visiting Asheville, most places cost at least $300/night that were in downtown, so this place was by far the most reasonable with a central location. The mountain views are pleasant. The bed and bathroom were comfortable. On the downside, the street noise was quite intense at times. Those very noise-sensitive may wish to consider other options as motorcycles revving their engines as they pass might be a challenge. I slept reasonably well though as I put my ear to the pillow (I'm deaf in one ear). Also, the elevator #1 was having issues. Luckily the elevator #2 was working (a bit more a walk, not bad) and there are stairs next to the elevator. The breakfast was nothing special.…
