My husband and I stayed at Oakland last weekend and were pleasantly surprised by the charm of the house - a vintage early 20th century gracious old home, most details and even living room furniture original, the excellent filling and tasty breakfasts (with vegetarian options for me), and our room, the Little Garden Room, which had all the amenities we...

We picked it on the way driving to Asheville, no review surfing, just picked it. What a lucky choice. The Inn is just a great place--close to downtown hipster Asheville and just as close to Biltmore Village and nestled in a quiet neighborhood. The building is an architectural gem. The rooms are all really nicely done, with attention to detail...

Stayed at Oakland Cottage B and B December 1 till 5. I was not going to write a review as the person that I was traveling with (Ginny B.) did write one. We booked the place based on the positive reviews it had gotten, but we were very disappointed. We were met with peeling paint on the exterior of the...

We stayed at Oakland for our anniversary celebration and felt very welcomed! Homey and warm, the owner & previous owner (!) were gracious hosts. Breakfast was tasty every morning & very filling. Very centrally located between downtown and Biltmore. Room was a bit smaller than I'd anticipated, but very cozy. Will be a repeat customer!

This was our first stay here. We were met at the door by Steve ( an interim inn keeper). He showed us around and how to conquer the front door lock. The real surprise came the next morning with Steve's fabulous Praline french toast....YUM! This is a lovely old home in very good condition. The stay was made even better...

We arrived on Dec 1 for a Christmas w/e & there were no decorations at all. The Christmas tree was up, but the decorations were on the floor. After a long day of travel, there was no tea, coffee, cookies or refreshments of any sort, When we asked about tea we were told the pot was broken and that there...

I'm not quite sure how to respond to this guest, or if I even should respond, except to say, take a look at all the 5 star reviews submitted by other guests who stayed at our B&B at the same time as "Ginny B." (and there are many). As a matter of fact, other guests found this particular guest's demanding...

Wonderful amenities with great hospitality! Truly no need to go out and get breakfast. The innkeeper is an extraordinary cook and we would put his breakfast up against any nearby restaurant. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

We had a wonderful stay at the historic Oakland Cottage. Steve was a kind and very friendly host, who made delicious and filling breakfasts both mornings. Our room, Rose #8, was clean, comfortable, and quiet; I actually only chose it on a sentimental whim because of the wallpaper (it reminded me of a place we stayed on our honeymoon) but...

Oakland Cottage provided exactly what we desired in a relaxing, quaint visit to Asheville. The location was on a quiet street that was a quick drive away from both downtown and Biltmore. The Dogwood Suite provided a charming atmosphere by being decorated authentically to the house. Steve was an excellent host who provided knowledgeable recommendations for experiencing the surrounding area...

My husband and I decided to take a last minute trip to Asheville. We found this perfect B&B and decided to book a two night stay. Steve is an amazing host and chef. You will not be disappointed. Very clean, friendly, and just the perfect place that feels like home! Definitely going back to stay here and see more of...
