This is a warm welcoming inn that is excellent and much more reasonably priced than those in the same class. The breakfasts were cordon bleau and very inventive. Linda and Jim were friendly, but not familar. The house feels like home and we had a very comfortable stay. At the end of three days we had trouble packing our bags...

My wife and I have stayed in many B&Bs over the past 18 years. We have to rate the Lion and the Rose as one of the top inns! Jim and Linda are excellent hosts. They are very attentive and anticipate your needs. The house itself is very comfortable. The housekeeping staff does an excellent job of keeping the inn...

Linda and Jim, our hosts at the Lion and the Rose, made us feel comfortable right fromt the start. They found that right balance between making us feel comfortable and letting us explore for ourselves. As an example, the excellent breakfasts, each delightfully different for each of our two days, were served by our hosts with a brief explanation about...

This is a wonderful inn for a relaxed weekend away from it all at a very affordable price. Located in the historic and peaceful Montford district of Asheville, it is within easy walking distance of downtown restaurants, music, and nightlife. The house is spacious and tastefully decorated, and with ample public sitting areas. The rooms are well appointed, immaculately clean,...

The Lion and the Rose B+B was perfection. My booyfriend and I stayed 3 nights in the Craig Toms suite and enjoyed everything about this B+B. The suite is the entire 3rd floor, and is spacious, beautifully appointed with antiques, has a fireplace, modern bath with large walk in shower and a jacuzzi tub, couches for lounging, and a fridge...

My husband and I have a tradition at staying at a different B&B each New Years weekend. The Lion & The Rose has been, hands-down, the best experience we've had. Jim and Linda have thought of everything... from chocolate candies in dishes all around the inn, to the beautiful Christmas decorations (there's a Santa around every corner), to the complimentary...

Four of us stayed 2 nights in this wonderful B&B but could have stayed all season! We came to Asheville for the Biltmore Candlelight Christmas. Jim and Linda helped with our tickets and all the arrangements (and at a discount from the online or gate price). The b&b was gorgeously decorated for Christmas; at night it was almost magical. Jim...

This is an well located property in proximity and good access to prime interests and attractions. It is lovely from the exterior and very beautiful inside. The owners have well considered the needs of their guests and provided very generous amenities. The rooms are by far the nicest B&B rooms I have stayed in internationally. Very comfortable and private, designed...

We loved most everything about our stay at this wonderful establishment. From the warm greeting by guests Linda and Jim upon arrival, the well kept, comfy home with plenty of Christmas touches everywhere, the welcome pantry with bottled water, large selection teas and fresh baked goodies, to the delicious and filling breakfasts, staying here was a very pleasant experience. 4 of us stayed at this bed and breakfast on our trip to see the Biltmore Candlelight Tour. Jim and Linda were very accomodating and friendly. The rooms are very clean and the Inn itself is beautiful. Our favorite part was the gourmet breakfasts that Jim prepared each morning. Delicious! Wonderful to relax sitting on the front porch! We will...
