We had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful inn and we immediately felt at home. Our room, the Robert Frost, was clean, comfortable and as beautiful as the rest of the inn. We enjoyed being within walking distance to downtown with all that had to offer. Delicious food, friendly guests and the inn keepers, pure delight! We have stayed...

We enjoyed our stay at the Whitegate. The owners clearly love being gracious hosts and connecting personally with guests. Staying in the main house may have a little more charm than the feel of the cottage we were in. although it more than exceeded our basic needs. The breakfasts were very delicious and helped to bring the guests together to...

Splurged and spent $365 a night for the cottage at the WhiteGate Inn. Were very disappointed when we saw the room. The cottage is spacious but the bathroom is tiny, with peeling paint and an antique medicine cabinet with a door that won't close and a mirror that is so cloudy that it is hard to see in. The jacuzzi...

I can honestly say this Inn was exactly what we were looking for!! We got married the weekend prior in Florida and we were looking for something romantic, quiet, cozy and charming. We stayed for two nights at this Inn. It had be recommended by friends and we were not disappointed. The Inn is 15 mins walk from downtown Ashville and has a free parking. So you can walk to any of the pubs or restaurant there. The rooms are sizable and clean and have an eclectic d decoration. In fact the...

We arrived 10/18 and departed 10/20. Our room, the Dorothy Parker room, was on the second floor with a western and southern exposure. It was hot and stuffy. No attempt had been made to air it out prior to our arrival. There were three double hung windows in the room. On one we could not raise either sash. On the...

Our window Air Conditioning Units are removed from our Standard Accommodations during the second week of October each year. The temperature had been below 40 degrees during some evenings prior their arrival. That weekend was exceptionally warm for the time of year on the majority of the east coast. Our standard accommodations are located on the second floor in the...

Exquisitely decorated and appointed B&B in old section of Asheville just north of downtown. Walt Whitman Room may be most expensive, but with jacuzzi tub and steam/room double shower, cost is quickly forgotten. Formal 3-course breakfast overseen by co-owner Frank is a creative, memorable affair. when Frank is in town he does a stand-up comic routine throughout breakfast, amusing, but...

Thank you for your kind review. The Walt Whitman is our most stunning and romantic room, in my opinion. I have mentioned your concerns to our housekkeping staff and will be thawing the fridge/freezers this week. We hope you stay again!

We have stayed in many B&B's, and this was one of our favorites. The extras that the owners and staff provide is what sets it apart for me. My favorite extra is the social hour every day. Wine and cheese and crackers with gourmet spreads. A great time to meet other guests and talk about restaurants and what to do...

The inn is very impressive. Our room had a walk in shower that was both the shower itself and a sauna. A fireplace interacted between the bathroom and bedroom..just lovely. The breakfast was amazing..homemade biscuits stuffed with eggs and a cheese sauce..warm baked apple compote..homemade poundcake with honey...chocolate pot a crème. Vegetarian requests and special requests are honored. There is...
