My husband and I and small dog just came back from Asheville after a few days getaway for an early 50th anniversary celebration. I came across the 1900 Inn on Montford randomly. So happy I did. We stayed in the Rosetti which is a carriage house behind the main house. It was perfect for us. Warm and cozy — king bed so comfortable, fireplace and jacuzzi. Private, no stairs, parking in lot. Best of all, Willy & Shawnie the innkeepers. They go above and beyond. Like they say “come as guests go home as friends. From the delicious home cooked 3 course creative breakfasts, to the yummy homemade cookies, coffee, tea, and cold beverages always available to their kindness and friendly conversation and suggestions on restaurants they are the best. They even walked our dog for us!! We arrived to flowers, chocolate and Processo for our anniversary. Location is perfect in a residential area and we walked to a neighborhood restaurant the first night for dinner. We highly recommend the 1900 Inn on Montford. We enjoyed our stay and are sure you will too.

Thank you for your stay with us at 1900 Inn on Montford to celebrate your 50th wedding anniversary! We're really honored to have had the chance to celebrate such a terrific milestone with you at the B&B. We enjoyed hosting your stay and the perk of getting the chance to spend some time with Chelsea so that you could fully enjoy your time at the Biltmore was our pleasure. Traveling with a pup sometimes takes a little more creativity, and we're so glad that we could assist! We're happy to hear that our Rossetti Suite in our carriage house at the inn was to your liking! Rossetti is a great choice for guests traveling with their dogs, since as you mentioned, the suite is located on the ground floor of the carriage house which is steps away from the main house at the inn and additionally, it has a private entrance and enclosed rear garden with table and chairs. Perfect for having your breakfast delivered to the suite or just relaxing in the garden during the warmer months! Thank you for mentioning so many of the things that we get to do everyday: create and serve our 3-course breakfasts, Shawnie's cookies, make recommendations to help you have the best stay, and share our home and town with our guests. Providing our own brand of intentional attention to our guests is all a part of our focus on service and our guests' experience. Thank you for finding us and making 1900 Inn on Montford your Asheville destination! We hope to see you all again soon! The Team at 1900 Inn on Montford

My husband and I visited 1900 Inn on Montford for our babymoon and had a wonderful time!! It was our first stay at a B&B and we weren't too sure what to expect. We were blown away! The inn is close to town but far enough away that it is quiet and relaxing outside on the main porch or your private porch. We stayed in the William Morris room. We picked this room because of the privacy and the luxury amenities! The steam shower and the jetted bathtub is where this pregnant mama spent most of her time! The breakfast the Shawnie made and delivered us was SO good and unique. They even take special requests and substitutions! If you like coffee and cookies (who doesn't?!) You have to use their fancy coffee machine and have a delicious homemade cookie! The perfect snack. Before you hit the town Saturday, you HAVE to stay to hear the live music and drink wine/beer/sparkling water with the other guests. It was one of the highlights of our trip! Willie and Shawnie also had great recommendations for things to do and places to eat, don't be afraid to ask them anything! They are so personable and accommodating! Did I mention the bed?? I slept so good in the amazing bed and high quality sheets. It was hard to get out of bed! If you are looking for a place to go and relax and just be with your partner this is THE place to go. Willie and Shawnie even sent us home with gifts for us and our baby girl! We cannot wait to come back someday soon, thank you for such a great stay!!

Karen, you made an excellent choice with booking the William Morris room for your babymoon. It's perfect for a couple to enjoy some luxurious privacy before the baby comes. We're so glad you enjoyed our live music social as well! It's always a favorite activity of our guests! We would love to have you stay with us again once you get a chance for a get away! We spent three nights with friends at the Inn on Montfort. Having looked at their website we knew that this would be a comfortable place to stay and we were certainly not disappointed: our room had everything we needed including lot of extras such cozy bathrobes, a jacuzzi and a gas fireplace (which we didn't need at this time).

The very best part of the Inn on Montfort is the outstanding hospitality of the owners. Willi ( and his wife) look after their guests with great attention to detail and enthusiasm. This is evident in the care put into delicious three course breakfasts which vary each day and the availability of delicious homemade cookies, hot drinks and cold beverages at no extra charge throughout the day.

After a sightseeing trip it was an absolute pleasure to return to the Inn and relax in one of their sitting rooms with a newspaper, a cup of tea and something to nibble.
We cannot recommend the Inn on Montfort highly enough.

This B and B in a historic district near downtown Asheville was the perfect location for a 35th anniversary getaway during COVID. We stayed in the Rossetti room, which was very private and had every amenity we could ask for: gas fireplace, whirlpool tub, steam shower (we didn't use the steam but the multiple shower heads were amazing), a private garden terrace, Keurig coffee maker with plenty of good decaf for my husband, plush bathrobes and sheets so comfy that I didn't know I needed them but I do. Many small touches like beautiful dishes in the room, plus their own branded pottery coffee cups and bud vases (I had to buy a couple as mementos). The hosts really know their business, serving delicious breakfasts brought to your room on a tray, anticipating your needs (bringing ice for our small cooler; I think they bought the bag just for us), having fresh cookies and a fancy espresso maker in the sun room, and making spot-on recommendations for today's scenic drive or shops to visit downtown. Also, very enjoyable socially distant happy hour with local music on the porch on Saturday night. This was a bit of a splurge for me but well worth it. Staying in a regular hotel in the future will be difficult compared to the attentiveness and luxury we enjoyed in this B and B. I hope to come back.

We stayed here when we were in Asheville for our wedding and can't wait to come back! Our room was so incredibly cozy and included so many thoughtful touches. The staff were so friendly, and Willy and Shawnie were so welcoming (and cooked DELICIOUS breakfasts). We were a little nervous traveling during COVID, but the Inn put our minds at ease by including wipes and sanitizer and ensuring everyone wore masks. The Saturday night music hour was absolutely phenomenal as well. Hands down the best bed and breakfast experience we've ever had!

We stayed here for four nights on our recent anniversary getaway. It was a great choice. We have stayed in many bed and breakfasts and this is clearly top shelf. The rooms are large and beautiful and very well maintained and noise was never a problem. There is enough off street parking for all the guests. The breakfasts were abundant and delicious. The onsite hosts were great. It was like staying with friends. There is also a concierge to help and all are willing to help plan your stay and offer excellent recommendations. When you go, try and plan to be there on a Saturday night. They have a bluegrass concert on the patio that is professional quality and was one of the highlights of the whole trip.

We stayed at 1900 Inn on Montford for a babymoon this past weekend based on a recommendation from a coworker. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Shawnie, Willy and Stacey were gracious hosts and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and felt welcome. The 3 course breakfasts were absolutely amazing, especially the chocolate croissant and tiramisu. Also, the happy hour with bluegrass music and beverages was so much fun. We really enjoyed making our own cappuccinos using the gourmet coffee maker and eating a lot of fresh baked cookies as well. When we left, Shawnie and Willy even gave us a very thoughtful gift for our baby. We will definitely be back to visit them and appreciate such a great experience.

WARNING: Do not stay here unless you love daily, world-class, three course breakfasts, gourmet cookies and beverages all day, wine in the evening, exceptionally comfortable rooms in an historic and beautiful house, and gregarious, caring, fun, and funny Inn Keepers. Remember before you make any reservations you are at risk of having one of the most enjoyable and memorable experiences of your life. Reserve with caution!

Be sure to also note that this location is nestled into lush, green, beautiful hills on the edge of an historic, arts filled, active city with outstanding restaurants on every block. This location is also within driving distance of many of the small, active, and memorable towns in the area that themselves are full of more activities than you can image. Be careful! This truly is a home away from home! Me, my wife and our pup had a little get away and it exceeded all our expectations. Shawnie and Willy put their whole heart into everything they do and their warmth and thoughtfulness make this place very special. Breakfast was amazing, we ordered an in-room massage that was the best massage we've had so far, and I can't even stress enough how comfortable the bed was haha.
We also felt very safe thanks to all the precautionary measures taken by Willy and Shawnie during the pandemic. Our room was equipped with masks and disinfecting gel. Breakfast was served on the porch or in the room so it was easy to social distance from other guests.
We felt safe, taken care of, and very well rested :) We will definitely be back. Thank you both for such an enjoyable stay!
