Exactly what we needed. My partner and I are both college students who wanted to take a weekend trip to Boston to visit a friend and visit the city. The hotel is only a short walk away from the back bay station, and there were multiple restaurants right near by. The cost was affordable but the room was nice and felt safe, and didn't feel cheap at all. The room was exactly like the pictures. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the bathrooms were always clean.
The staff was very helpful and friendly at both check-in and check-out; the lobby was lovely and contained and excellent coffee shop; and my room (in the auxiliary loft building) was comfortable, bright, and very spacious for a city center location. The neighborhood was very picturesque and walkable and full of great cafes and restaurants.
When I first came I was afraid about the noise in the hotel as well as the distance between the hotel and my exam location and the transportation between it, but I realised after the first night this all was wrong and the situation was very good and convenient as well as the transportation. It was really a good experience especially that the first time to go to Boston and the revolution hotel. The only drawback of the stay was that there was no breakfast offered as well as a coffee machine or even a kettle to drink coffee or tea in the room but other than that everything was excellent, good luck
i stayed there with my boyfriend for a short trip visiting boston. The check in was smooth. The room was not very big but very nice. Clean and nice view. there is a restaurant onsite and public parking close by.
We were looking for an affordable stay in Boston for one night and decided to try out this hostel type hotel, we selected a king room with bathroom down the hall. The hotel and rooms were stylish, comfortable and well air conditioned! The front desk provided dinner suggestions and umbrellas when rain moved in. The shared bathrooms was not an issue -they were clean and always available. only complaint was a noisy air conditioning unit - would recommend packing ear plugs and shower shoes.
The hotel is hostel style with private bedroom but shared bathroom spaces (private bathroom cubicles). Shared spaces were very clean with extra towels always around. The bathroom bags were great with lots of room to carry everything to and from the bathroom and included slippers which the kids loved. We were in a 4 bunk room was was nice because each bunk was curtained and had it's only light so I could stay up on my phone without keeping the kids up after putting them to bed. The rooms are on the snug side but do their best to maximize the use of space. The basement was a giant game room and we hung out there after exploring the city both days. Bathrooms were always clean with staff coming by often to clean. Front desk staff was very good. Hotel location is great as we were just a few blocks from transit and able to walk to Boston Commons. Couldn't really hear street noise at night but we were in the room directly across from the bathrooms and stair door and those were busy until like midnight every night and the doors closed super loud so that was kina annoying.…
Loved the hotel aesthetic, the restaurant attached, and all the amenities. The rooms are quite small, but if you're staying with someone you don't mind living on top of, you're golden. Would 100 percent stay again and would recommend for couples or really really really close friends/siblings.
I have several critiques: 1) the sink in the room was too small to wash one’s face without getting water on the floor —there appears to be room for a slightly larger one and we recommend modifying. 2) the bathroom door is a sliding bar door style door, which prevents use of the sink while open. 3) there is no storage space such as drawers and no place to put a traveler’s items. 4) there was literally nowhere to sit but on the bed. 5) this was the smallest room I have ever stayed in during my 35 years of traveling—smaller than any NYC room I’ve stayed in for example, where rooms tend to be much smaller for obvious real estate reasons.
My son, stayed here and absolutely loved it. Both Janelle and Cassie were excellent. He was able to visit, surprise some friends and have an epic time supporting his creative friends. Service was fantastic!
Rude staff, hung up on me. Terrible arrival. Room smelled. Shared bathrooms were almost always in use, and were dirty. There’s only a couple bathrooms for a whole floor to use so there was almost never a bathroom open!
