Stayed in the hotel this past Saturday night, overall an excellent stay, all the staff were very helpful and accommodating from door staff to server in the restaurant during dinner. The one anomaly would be Marc H. at the front desk, who was not like the other team members. Maybe because we checked in at a reduced rate and that is why we were not treated well; ultimately his supervisor came over to help. After that was resolved, we were not even given directions to the room by Marc (which was off the lobby and we went to the elevators), he didn't ask about our reason for being in Boston , did not orientate us at all, and generally was dismissive. That was not a great start to an otherwise wonderful stay in Boston. I would stay here again based on the rest of the staff and the location, and hope that everyone gets trained at the same level.…
We chose to stay here because we were taking a cruise to Provincetown from Boston Harbor and the ferry leaves right outside the door of the hotel. Loved our day trip and returned to dine in one of the many great restaurants by the wharf. We ate at the hotel for breakfast and dinner, to get back the 25buck hotel daily fee. It’s a cheap shot, but we probably would have eaten there anyway as it was just so easy. The food was very adequate, so no complaints. As we were checking out, a manager quizzed us about our stay and he seemed to genuinely care. I give a place extra credit when an employee has a genuine interest in service. As for the room, it was quiet, the bed comfortable and the layout fairly spacious for a city hotel. Great scenery by the waterfront, the area also felt safe. Yes, our stay was pricey, but worth it.…
We stayed for one night with our toddler. Rooms were nice and clean. Service was fantastic. Location was the best - beautiful views of the harbor and walking distance to everything we wanted to do during our short stay. Would definitely stay again. We had a roof rack on our car, so we were worried we wouldn’t be able to park in their garage. No problem - they parked us (and others with the same issue) right outside the front door.
Hotel is very centrally located and all you need is nearby. Rooms are average, but luckily we didn’t spend much time there. Views of the marina are gorgeous. Ayana the front desk rep was amazing and very nice. Thanks for making our anniversary memorable
I visited Boston for the first time for a 3 day trip with my family of 5 and this was EXACTLY the right place to stay. We got a water taxi from Logan Airport right to the hotel. The harbour location is beautiful, buzzy and airy. The hotel rooms are functional but very clean and comfortable and the whole experience was relaxed for children. The food options and room service offered by the hotel are rather limited but there are some decent restaurants in close walking distance. The duck tour and aquarium were super for the children. Have fun! :)
Located right in the heart of the tourist area, and along the waterfront, this hotel did just about everything well. Room was quiet and the property is well maintained. For Marriott Elites breakfast is offered a separate lounge. However, food comes from the same buffet as the regular restaurant guests
We recently canceled our trip to Spain due to Covid restrictions and settled on Boston. When I called looking for advice from a concierge, I was pleasantly surprised to have our entire 6 day trip planned by Lisa. She asked what our family liked to do and took it from there. Her restaurant selections were outstanding and my family had a blast on Segways, boats, trolleys, walking tours and day trip to Martha’s Vineyard. She seemed to know everyone, including on Martha’s Vineyard. Loved having Ghosts & Graveyard tickets come with our room. We wanted to do the free bike tickets, but ran out of time. Our room was great - clean and spacious. We cannot thank the staff, including Lisa, enough for the hospitality. We will be back.
We (3 of us) stayed here for 4 nights. Upon arrival at 8A we assumed we would just drop off luggage and explorer the North End until our room was ready. The front desk staff was so nice and had a room available for us. Room was perfect, nice and clean and fabulous view of the wharf. Location was great for us, we did the Duck tour and ferry from Bunker hill. Was a great people watching area as well. I would stay here again if we return to Boston.
My friends and I came to Boston for the Garth Brooks concert at Gillette on a Saturday night. We booked a limo service online and paid $600 in advance. The driver no showed and we received a cancellation email just as we were about to leave. I was panicked. We are so grateful to the concierge (I believe her name was Lisa) who was gracious and apologized for bad experience. She worked quickly and found a driver for our group at the very last minute. She saved our night and our trip.
Traveled here for a college graduation. Chose this location as we wanted to be close to the North End for the graduation dinner. We are Marriott Titanium Elite members and choose Marriott properties when we travel. Some of our recent travels have been underwhelming as many areas struggle with staffing due to covid. What a pleasant surprise to stay at a hotel where everything was seamless from start to finish with kind and caring staff! The wonderful Audrey took care of us at check in. We arrived early so knew we couldn’t get into our room but wanted to drop our luggage off. Audrey promised to call us when the room was ready but offered to bring us to the M lounge so we could have coffee and breakfast before heading out. In the lounge, Dave and Dayci were friendly and helpful. I can’t forget to mention Jim the valet who was also helpful and so friendly! It is the staff who truly make a hotel and this one has some great ones! I know the pandemic has caused so many challenges for the hotel and travel industry but this hotel appears to have done a great job with staffing some amazing people! We will be back!…
