what an absolute dump. i was so disapointed its tired dirty the rooms are old and worn out the hotel lobby and general areas are like the Marie celest,it reminded me of the hotel in the shining there is nothing 5 or 4 star about it. its obviously being wound down for a refurb or sold . we paid over 500usd for a night ,no one fom Management was around no one asked how our stay was this place is on its last legs.

We were very pleased with the 2 Queen bed Signature room on the Gold floor. The Gold Lounge was on the same floor which was very convenient for us. Room was quite spacious and had lots of closet space. It was newly renovated. Bathroom was nice too. Shower had great pressure and was so comforting after long days doing college tours. This hotel has grand old world charm with modern amenities. Location is central to shopping and sightseeing. I appreciated the extra security to use key card to access our floor. The Gold Lounge had a great variety for breakfast and the evening appetizers were really good. You could make a meal out of it. We always enjoyed stopping in the lounge before and after we returned. Highly recommend and would go back anytime!!

What started as an issue with the room could have had a different outcome, but thanks to Jesus looking at the matter, he then introduced me to Duty Manager Lucas. A lot of effort and time meant that the issue went away and am enjoyable stay at an iconic hotel steed in history. Lucan was courteous, taking a lot of time to discuss and resolved. He is an asset to the hotel. Location of the hotel is just the start, amazingly comfortable bed, the quietest aircon I have ever experienced, and incredible service.

Whenever I’m in Boston for business, I look forward to visiting the Oak Bar once or twice for the food and atmosphere. This time, I decided to splurge and stay in the hotel as well. I was initially given an ADA room, which had a strange layout…no bathroom vanity and tv too far from the bed. When I called down to the desk, Lucas initially told me there was no other option, then offered to move me to another room, which was equally as disappointing. A first floor “cave”, with no light and a window that opened up to a loading dock, which woke me up at 5am each morning. The decor is also run down and dated. Total disappointment!

My sister and I were treated royally. The accommodations were extraordinarily top notch. The staff we encountered were quick to help or answer any questions. From Gabe the concierge, Joe who helped and gave a wonderful tour of the hotel, Lucille the lovely hostess in the dining area, Tom our waiter, Brian the bartender, and Nativa the maid. Everyone had a smile, were friendly, and so welcoming!! The Fairmont Copley Plaza made our stay that much more fun.

We booked this hotel 14 months ago as we were celebrating a big anniversary. It was on the recommendation of one of the top travel agents in Ireland. We had requested a high floor on booking & we were put on floor 1. We got over that, but the room we got was dreadful. There was a very unpleasant smell in the room and when we opened the bathroom door it was even stronger. My husband went down to reception and the receptionist said that she had no real authority but gave us another room on floor 1 which was ok. We told the girl on reception that we were returning for another 2 nights later in the month and that we certainly did not want a repeat bad experience. She advised us to phone a girl called Carolina the next day and she gave us Carolina’s business card. We phoned the next day, no reply , so we left a message with our contact details on Carolina’s phone. We then decided to send her an email and we did not receive a reply to date. We no longer have any confidence in the customer care in this Hotel. I would never recommend anyone to stay here and we will not be returning. We have cancelled our booking for later this month.

The hotel is super old, not maintained , no proper maintenance No fridge in the suites even, they get one might be 5 years old , put it next to the door and smell odd No mini bar No early or late check out for even highest loyalty program member Rude communication and unwelcoming AC sound is very high Shower is not good at all

At first I was impressed by the lavish lobby. We got to our room and could barely open the door because the door was ridiculously tight and difficult to open. Inside our room looked nice, however the air-conditioning unit was extremely loud it sounded like an old car trying to start. There was also a faint mildew smell in the room. We were very dissatisfied!

The hotel is old, not maintained and very dirty. I’ve never seen such an outdated , stained, broken and dirty furniture, walls, floors in any other hotel, and we travel a lot. Service is very poor, they don’t respond to requests over the phone, they brought us old and very stinky refrigerator. The hotel is maybe good for a Halloween night as it definitely has a creepy vibe. We canceled after the first night ( we wanted to do it immediately but we arrived very late and tired). We moved to one of brand new Marriott’s, just 15 min from downtown, with great service, amazing rooms and free breakfast. ( in Fairmont they don’t provide you even with water, you need to ask for it at the lobby). Do not waste your money there.
