I'm a big fan of these large US buildings built many years ago - they provide great well proportioned rooms where you can't hear people in the corridors or the room next door. In my view you can't say that about most buildings constructed today. Service was very good and I found the staff helpful and available. Food was good...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

We spent four nights at the hotel between Christmas and New Years. It was delightful. It is a formal, historic hotel right on Copley Square. Check in was quick and the service was excellent. Our room was spacious and the bathroom had two sinks and a large shower. The bath products are amazing -- that shampoo makes my hair shine...

This grand hotel with its beautiful lobby and Long Bar is an ideal spot for business or personal travel. The service is good, though it did take a bit of complaining before I was able to get a satisfactory room for our party of three. The gym is excellent, much larger than most hotel gyms.

This Fairmont Hotel is in a great location in Copley Plaza. It is close to major roadways coming into and out of Boston. IT has the grandeur of past hotels with the modern conveniences. The room was spacious with the most comfortable mattress that I have ever experienced in a hotel. The Kurig coffee pot in the room is a...

We always stay at this hotel when we visit Boston - the location is perfect, the property is gorgeous and the staff is always warm and welcoming. We had planned a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary and our arrival date happened to coincide with winter storm Niko!! We managed to arrive early in the day before the snow really started,...

I stayed here with my family - was work trip for me but pleasure trip for them. This hotel is one of the most elegant I have ever slept in. I have also stayed at the Fairmont in Georgetown/DC but this one is even fancier. Service is a top priority for the front desk staff and bellhops. No problems here....

The property itself is centrally located and a historic one. Very well maintained with spacious rooms. Service at the front desk was very quick both at checkin and check out. Met all expectation on amenities in the room including a plug point at the bed side to charge your phone.

I attend a business conference at the Fairmont and just wanted to say wow. Checking in was a very positive experience and the continued follow ups on how my stay was going were excellent. If you are visiting Boston, the Fairmont is a great place to stay.

We have a son in Boston and have visited regularly since he started college. We have tried a number of the hotels (mostly in the Back Bay area). This was our third time at the Fairmont and we give it our highest recommendation. The hotel is beautiful, the room was outstanding and the location is as good as it gets,...

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
