It is an amazing hotel of regal historical luxury in Boston. The combination of a tremendous history combined with modern convinces makes the hotel a great choice for staying in downtown Boston. I had a great breakfast at the Oak Long Bar. It was incredibly great tasting,

While it is a bit pricey, I have to say that this hotel is a great place to stay. It is centrally-located, an express bus from Logan drops you off across the street, and the hotel itself is top-notch. If you can swing it, I'd strongly recommend it.

In Boston for a wedding at this special venue. Staff and service are great. Rooms and restaurant are expensive and not extraordinary. Convenient location for Copley square, Newbury St, and Copley place. Rooms have been updated but nothing special. Bathrooms big enough with bath and shower. Expected turn down service at this price point and venue. Common areas are beautiful...

This hotel is perfectly situated for touring Boston, near the Freedom Trail sites and many great Boston restaurants. The hotel itself is very nice and if you are there for a conference, the meeting rooms - especially the Ballroom, are quite grand. Our suite was very nice BUT in an outside corner and therefore noisy in the early morning. That...

I love scouring through TripAdvisor’s reviews, and did that just when selecting a hotel for our recent trip to Boston. I was torn between the Fairmont Copley Plaza and the Mandarin Oriental, and ended up settling on the Fairmont due to pricing. But when we had to unexpectedly extend our stay, the Fairmont was unable to accommodate us, and we...

A perfumey-chemical smell hit me in the face when I walked in this beautiful hotel lobby, and followed me all the way to the St. James Room where I attended a reception. It smelled as strong as the perfume counter area in department stores, but much more cloying. I finally asked at the desk what the overpowering smell was, and...

It is a Fairmont, what can I say. Upgraded to a junior suite. Plenty of amenities. When we were first at the floor, our room was within a narrow hallway requiring a turn but the maid watched us from behind so she alerted is where to turn. That is service why she simply did it without being requested. All was...

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
