Have stayed in the hotel on many occasions when visiting Boston and ultimately alternate between here and the FS depending on availability. I think the Mandarin Oriental just edges it in terms of quality finishings that really make you feel as if you are staying in luxury. Great size rooms, perfect location and attentive staff make this a great place...

Amazing location, nice services and facilities and an experience that everyone should try The only issue is that some of their staff are not friendly at all and thats the only reason this place loses one point in my opinion. The resturant is good and their spa is amazing

The location was perfect. We were able to walk around the area and do some shopping. Clearly we were in one of the area's "hot spots". The room was appointed with ever amenity you could think of. The bathroom was more like a dressing room with large mirrors and special lighting. The tub and shower were large and palatial. The...

My husband and I stayed one night at the Mandarin pre-cruise. This is one of the best of not the best hotel experiences I have ever had! The hotel itself is beautiful -- elegant, understated. Very classy yet not pretentious. Everyone with whom we dealt was gracious and welcoming. The bellman and the front desk clerk greeted us by name...

Clearly the best hotel is Boston. Reception staff went out of their way to make me comfortable as I waited for my room. They offered coffee and a Wi-Fi connection. The meeting facilities are excellent. The rooms are very comfortable and spotless. I have become a big fan of the espresso makers provided in the rooms.

I stayed here for 2 nights at the tail end of a conference after spending the earlier part of the conference at the Sheraton. What was amazing about the whole thing...

Perfect location, luxury in Boston. Location makes it easy for business meetings and catchup afterward. View excellent and staff very helpful. Only drawback was being charged for a phone recharger which given how much I paid for a room that night was probably a little rich.

Stayed here after my wedding in June '15 and it was marvelous. The location on Boylston Street is central to everything in the city. Bar Boulud was spectacular and the staff was extremely helpful. Large rooms with great bathrooms and technology throughout.

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
