Our first time in Boston and we stayed at The Lenox Hotel. Our experience was excellent. The staff greeted us warmly each time we entered the hotel and asked us if we needed anything. The Concierge, Beverly, was so helpful and truly knew the city and surrounding areas. We had a corner room with lovely views. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. There is filtered water available on each floor through a dispenser. A carafe is provided in your room for the filtered water. We ate at one of the restaurants in the hotel for convenience and truly enjoyed our meal. It is conveniently located to many attractions and restaurants. Highly recommend!!
Stayed at The Lenox August 2019 and July 2022. Each experience was excellent. The staff is the very best I’ve experienced in many, many, many hotel stays. The decor is pleasant. The rooms and hotel overall are clean. The location is excellent. The rooms and fitness room are nice but small.
We had such high hopes for the Lenox, as we do enjoy a more boutique hotel rather than a chain type. We were rather disappointed. Arriving late, there was no chance of assistance with cases, where departing there were plenty of staff looking for a tip - given we had to drag bags upstairs, we managed to take our own back down! The food, bar, Irish Bar, food for breakfast were all awful, really awful. The Irish bar had disinterested staff, what a struggle to get served. Main bar wasn’t great, and an attempt at breakfast was a debacle. Staff with no clue, kitchen that cannot cook. In the room the bed was comfortable, however decor and cleaning could be improved, and the bathroom really needed a refit. The chatty ‘hello’ from staff seemed hollow, as we really didn’t feel the love. An OK stay, good location, but we won’t be going back I’m afraid.…
Spectacular service, location and very comfortable rooms. The amenities were wonderful and facilites impeccably clean. Unexpectedly, Without asking, we were upgraded to a suite which was amazing. Breakfasts at the hotel restaurant was beautiful and staff, just lovely. In addition, the Lindt chocolates as part of the welcoming turn down service was classy and delightful!!
We stayed at The Lenox Hotel for a girls weekend with 5 ladies. We did our research and decided this was the best location for the best price (Boston is pretty pricey). When we had a friend cancel last minute, we decided to cancel one of two rooms and change our room to the Executive fireplace room, 2 queens with a pullout couch. We knew that might be tight but probably more fun. Well the room far exceeded our expectations! It was actually quite big by hotel room standards and we did not feel the least bit crammed in there! The hotel is in an amazing location where you can walk to a lot of restaurants and upscale shopping! Otherwise everything is a quick Uber ride. I forgot how fun boutique hotels are. Can’t recommend this hotel enough!
I loved this hotel. All the employees are incredibly nice, special shout out to the concierge lady! The location is good- can walk or quick Uber everywhere. The room was clean and nice and had everything you would need. I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Boston!
Having sold my home in Boston, we needed some place to stay for 4 weeks until my son finished school. We spent those weeks (M-F) at the Lenox Hotel located in charming Back Bay between my job and my son's school. We quickly felt at home in the cozy rooms and with the warm, friendly staff. We enjoyed the comfort of the hotel, the room service and multiple on property restaurants. While I thought it might be tiresome staying at a hotel for an extended period of time, it did not. We not only enjoyed every minute, but we also learned of others who were also staying there for weeks/months. The hospitality helped us during our transition from our Boston home through graduation and our move out of the city.
On Memorial Day weekend, my daughter was married in Boston. The Lenox provided a convenient location for the festivities, and so the wedding party and family were all excited for our stay. I must say that the Lenox as a beautiful space and exceedingly accommodating and professional staff more than exceeded our expectations. Every staff member served with a smile, answered questions and requests quickly and efficiently (and we were not low maintenance!). EVERYTHING was first rate. I will recommend to all my friends and stay again myself, gladly.
This hotel is outstanding compared to similar hotels in its class. Location cannot be more perfect. It is nearby the mall, just a block away from Newbury street, nearby many great restaurants, etc. The staff are friendly and strive to give good service which is rare to find in hotel of its class in Boston. The doorman and bell boy were always there to greet or help. Also the reception. They provide coffee service in the morning at the lobby which is definitely welcome. Room is spacious and comfortable. The design of the lobby is very charming, feels like an English establishment. This is my favourite hotel in Boston. Area of improvements will be on housekeeping. The room cleaning service seems very standard compared to the other services. Someone else mention about the bar tender being not so great. I have to agree. When I went there, he was too busy talking to a couple of people instead of paying attention to other customers. What a shame as the bar itself is very charming with old world feel to it .…
Excellent hotel in downtown Boston. They have the most engaging staff you will ever find. A rare event in my experience, recently. The hotel is modern yet with a historic charm. Well appointed rooms and relaxing lobby. The free coffee and tea in the morning is an additional bonus
