Nestled in the financial district, The Langham, Boston wins over guests with its cleanliness and elegant atmosphere. Many travelers appreciate the hotel's location, a stone's throw from historic sites, and the exceptional service that adds a personal touch to the stay.
While the rooms are celebrated for their comfort and state-of-the-art amenities, some visitors mention concerns with room size and soundproofing. Luxurious amenities, including diverse dining options and a comprehensive fitness center, are often praised, though opinions on value diverge due to high costs and additional charges.

Detailed Reviews
Very good stay at the Langham - room was comfortable and particularly quiet, overlooking an inner courtyard which meant we had very good sleep.
Bar had good atmosphere - service friendly and efficient - just be aware that when we were there they do not open for lunch. Breakfast was fine, with a wide choice and good service, but from a European perspective it was expensive as you pay for each item individually.
Good location - with easy access to tourist sites.
Beautifully decorated for the festive season and somewhere we would heartily recommend.

We’ve visited twice in the last month and both stays were phenomenal. All of the hotel staff are friendly and welcoming from the doorman to concierge, they go above and beyond to create a good experience.
The heated indoor pool and jacuzzi are especially great during the winter season and the hotel is centrally located to most things a tourist would want to be doing.
Using Amex FHR, we consistently get room upgrades and the free breakfast plus $125 credit provides a lot of value (especially for a single night stay). Grana is excellent for brunch and we love how quick the room service is.
We’ve yet to stay in any of their suites, but the King rooms are fantastic with great bathrooms and Diptyque products. Both the 5th and 9th floor offered good views and each room was well maintained and clean.

I am not one to write hotel reviews but the Langham was such a delightful experience I felt I had to share. My husband and I came for a couples staycation on a frigid weekend in mid January. We paid $480 including taxes and fees for one night with a $75 food and beverage credit, and 2pm late checkout.
The room was perfectly sized with a generous fluffy king bed, rainfall shower, nespresso machine, and diptique toiletries. They also had a wonderful pillow menu with a plethora of options.
The service was impeccable, and warm, but not overbearing. We did not opt for turn down service but a woman stopped by and offered us some complimentary higher end water bottles in the evening which I greatly appreciated.
We did have one tiny snag in that there was no energy drink of any kind available onsite, but the door person at the fed was very apologetic and offered me a complimentary diet coke in a to go cup which was such a kind gesture. We also enjoyed the small but well appointed pool area, and the sauna in the locker room. I just wish the robes provided in the room had been a bit fluffier and less scratchy but that was certainly not a huge deal.
Overall, we loved the Langham and felt it provided an excellent value for the price. We will certainly be back!

Dear Abby Li, It is with profound delight and appreciation that we receive your eloquent recounting of your romantic, cozy winter sojourn at The Langham, Boston. Your decision to share this delightful experience, especially given your usual reserve in hotel reviews, speaks volumes to the enchantment we strive to weave into every guest's stay. The description of your opulently appointed room, adorned with a sumptuously fluffy king bed, a soothing rainfall shower, the refined touch of a Nespresso machine, and the luxurious Diptyque toiletries, paints a picture of the comfort and elegance we endeavor to provide. We are also thrilled that our bespoke pillow menu added to the bespoke nature of your stay. Your commendation of our service as impeccable and warmly balanced, alongside the thoughtful evening gesture of offering select water bottles, resonates deeply with our ethos of attentive yet unobtrusive hospitality. We regret the absence of energy drinks on site but are heartened to hear that the considerate offering of a complimentary beverage by our staff at The Fed ameliorated this oversight. Your feedback on the pool area and sauna is greatly valued, as is your constructive note regarding the robes. Rest assured, such insights are instrumental in our continuous journey of refinement and improvement. We are immensely gratified that you found The Langham to offer excellent value, and your intention to return is the highest accolade we could hope for. It would be our esteemed privilege to welcome you back, ensuring your next visit is imbued with even more comfort, luxury, and memorable moments. With the highest regards and warmest wishes, Michele Grosso Managing Director The Langham, Boston

The building itself is very nice, the details of masculine and feminine touches were very nice. We had requested extra towels which were not in the room, I asked for them again and they were brought up but then taken while we were at dinner (during turndown service.) We got 2 sodas delivered to the room, it cost OVER $32 for 2 eight oz cans (including delivery/gratuity). that was ridiculous to me. I got the bed & breakfast rate, but if you get anything above the set amount they determine, you will be billed. (also, they added gratuity, which I would have thought would have been included in the room rate considering it was inclusive of breakfast, but maybe that's just me?) The most frustrating part was the fact that when I requested my car from valet, they brought the wrong car, and seemed annoyed with me that I would not accept someone else's vehicle. Took several minutes to confirm what my car was and about another 10-15 minutes of waiting for them to actually bright it out. (It does appear that they have removed the expense for valet from my bill.) The bed was very comfortable, the decor was very attractive, the food was tasty. Just felt a little nickel and dimed at times.

The Langham Boston was a true 5-star hotel experience. It was also a great deal using Amex Platinum ($125 extra credit, and $84 to spend on breakfast/brunch per day).
My fiancée and I were impressed by the service across the board. We sometimes left for short periods of time to come back to a cleaned up room, and the hotel also provided a free large raspberry macaron and large glass bottle of water for our anniversary.
You can sometimes hear some noise bleed in through the hallway, but that's more on guests vs. the hotel.

What can I say except it is a 5 star hotel similar to what I’ve experienced at let’s say a Four Seasons. This is my 2nd or 3rd time staying here for business, over the past 15 years. It is in the downtown/financial area of Boston so it’s pretty quiet at night.
It has a lot of the little amenities such as free overnight shoe shine, laundry and turn down service. You get 2 robes and slippers. The room has an elegant little cupboard with a coffee maker AND a tea kettle (I usually don’t see the kettle) and a small refrigerator. You can ask for a special pillow (down, micro gel, memory foam, scented). I tried the micro gel. It is large enough to hotel a conference and there is a restaurant on site as well.
Within a few blocks, there are some fast casual places, a CVS and some restaurants so its not completely dead.
And its always nice that they know who you are when you call so you don’t have to repeat your name or room number.

I and my team had a delightful stay at The Langham in Boston. The hotel is close to our offices there and it was safe and easy to walk to work. The rooms are pristine and so comfortable with lovely accessories. The service was terrific and we were all impressed by the distinct touches and the care taken of our things when straightening and cleaning the rooms during the day.
The beds are like nests and you can request custom pillows: lavender, body, memory foam.
I will definitely stay there again. We all hope that we'll choose this hotel when we come next.

I stayed at the Langham Boston for the first time and can't say enough good things about this lovely hotel. The staff is attentive and thoughtful. From check-in through check-out, every team member I experienced was so kind and professional. The venue is beautiful. The rooms are luxurious without being overdone, and everything one needs to be cozy and comfortable are provided or available (be sure to ask for one of the lavender pillows). I loved coming back to my room after a day of meetings and seeing everything in order, which brought a sense of calm and relaxation to my evening. A special thank you to Salim who greeted me upon check-in and remembered me a few days later when we ran into each other in the lobby. Looking forward to my next stay!

The Langham is an overpriced 4 star hotel. The room was dark. You couldn't see the sky. The windows were leaky, which meant a lot of noise and cold. The bathroom was small with one sink. The bathtub was impractically small. The toilet was not separated. The price was outrageously high. The $84 for breakfast is nowhere near enough, as the prices for the food are extremely high. The staff are friendly but sometimes not properly trained. The red "do not disturb" light in front of the room is ignored by the staff. The air conditioning in the bar and in the Grana is unpleasantly cold. In short, I would never visit this hotel again.

We were thrilled to return to the Langham Boston over Christmas while visiting family. We have stayed here many times and it never disappoints. Rooms are always spotless as is the entire hotel. We had access to the Langham Club which offers excellent food and beverage selections many times a day. The club manager (who I am blanking on his name) is excellent and welcoming. The Club waitstaff are super friendly and always working so hard to make everyone happy. Housekeeping even gave us a sweet Langham ornament as it was Christmas with a kind note. This is excellent service!!! They always go above and beyond.
