We spent a weekend touring Boston and the Langham made our trip great. It was the perfect location to hit all the hot spots. The hotel itself was excellent too. Nice large room, clean and quiet. We couldn't have asked for anythhing more!

The staff at The Langham went over and above time after time to make sure that my family was well cared for and trip extra special! I called ahead to let them know that this was a birthday trip for my 10 year-old daughter. We were surprised by an adorable teddy bear, delicious treats and extra sparkling water.

As long time patrons since its opening in 1981 as Le Meridien and transition to the Langham we have never ceased to be extremely satisfied with the total experience from beginning to end! Old world elegance melded with a Modern elegant ambiance, pampering, polished service and dining to suit every taste!

The hotel was fine I suppose, but I arrived off of a red eye flight looking forward to an immediate check in since I had wisely (I thought) booked a room for the evening before with guaranteed late arrival. Instead the manager informed me that, since I hadn't called them to specify late arrival meant early morning, they had given...

I would like to tell you about the room quality or the ambience or the food but I can't. We booked our stay in November 2016 for a planned trip to the USA in May 2017. Two days before our flight to Boston we got a call from our travel agent to say the Langham had cancelled our reservation because...

Not for the budget traveler - well located, nice restaurants, good for business. I stay here primarily for the location to my company offices, and if I don't have time to transit from another property further away in congested Boston.

For the price I paid I would've expected a better bathroom, the shower over the bathtub was uncomfortable to use. While coffer making was possible in the room a complimentary breakfast would have been welcome. Finally the loyalty program should award air miles on a stay regardless of how the reservation is made: I was informed when I checked out...

My husband and I took a quick weekend trip to Boston. So we could try the chocolate buffet at Cafe Fleuri. The buffet was amazing! If you're looking for something savory, there is a menu available. We enjoyed our stay at The Langham as well. Very nice clean atmosphere. The staff was always eager to be of assistance.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
