Brilliant location very central with everything within walking distance. Comfortable clean rooms. Would highly recommend staying here. The Boston Tea Party and Freedom Trail are must do tours and if you're lucky enough to do the Freedom Trail at 2pm on a Sunday you'll get the wonderful Matthew who was amazing. Boston Bruins ice hockey is also definitely up there.

The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location. Otherwise, it is just not well kept. Furniture is all beat up and stained. There is dust everywhere. The restaurant banquette seating is ripped up in areas. Carpet not properly vacuumed. I would not stay here again.

This looks like an 80’s hotel. Dark furniture everywhere. Not bright. It’s also very quirky. No straight lines, just curves on curves. The were steps into my bedroom. The gym is small and one of the two treadmills and one of the two cross skiers were not working. The bedroom was large but the closet was awkward to access. The coffee machine and bed were good however. Very centrally located. Pleasant enough staff but they seemed a little under staffed.

Average stay.....nice room and great location. The fun started when i discovered they charged me twice for the room on my Card. I spoke to two people who assured me that I would see the credit in 5 to 7 business days. They then charged me the appropriate rate. So now I see 3 charges on my card. 2 are pending and one is posted. At this point I need to dispute the charges through my CC Company. So, not impressed with how that went and is going down. We stayed there 1/27/24 and as of this review, no credit seen on my CC. Its getting aggravating at this point. Not sure if I will stay there again, or recommend..

Such a lovely stay. Wasn’t planning on staying the night but so glad we did. Great location!! Room was very large and clean. Had dinner in the north end which was about a 10 min walk. There’s a restaurant attached to the lobby. Stopped in for a drink and the staff were very friendly. Plenty of shopping and places to eat. Highly recommend this hotel and are.

We go to Boston every year after Christmas since I lived there for many years. We have stayed at the Bostonian before and never had a complaint. The hotel is really showing its age but what is worse is the fact that they charge an extra $30 a day for a “Destination Fee” . This fee was never disclosed until AFTER you check in. They said it was due to the great location but frankly every hotel in Boston is in a prime location because Boston is so small. I think this is borderline illegal. The parking is also $62 a day! I booked this due to the low rate but it ended up being more expensive than some of the better hotels nearby. The fridge didn’t work, the heat made loud pounding noise all night the bathroom door was broken, etc. Stay at one of the better hotels nearby don’t be fooled by the low rate at booking.

kcav0, it's disappointing to hear your recent stay didn't meet your expectations. We understand your concerns about additional fees that weren't clear during the booking process and we'll look into ways to improve the transparency. We also regret that some features in the room did not function as expected, a cause for discomfort we sincerely apologize for. We can assure you that it's our top priority to keep our rooms up to their highest standards for all our guests. Your feedback is appreciated and will be used in our ongoing efforts to improve our guest experience.

Very nice room. Beds are really comfortable, and we both slept well. Great location, right by Fanueil Hall, and just a short walk (10 or so minutes) to TD Garden and the North End, and all if it's great restaurants.

As a family, we visited Boston from 30th October to 4th November and stayed at the Bostonian Boston Hotel. The hotel is conveniently located close to the three T (subway) stations so it makes it easy to get to different parts of the city. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. In hay days, it might've been 4* hotel, but not now. It feels tired and in need of a refurb. We didn't try the restaurant as the prices were too high and you could have a very nice breakfast in nearby markets and dinner at taverns. However, what came as a shock was the $145.60 charge after we left. Apparently, it's a destination fee + tax. Never heard of anything like that before. The location was good but there were other hotels in the vicinity. Do they charge a 'destination fee'. Bottom line this is a 3* hotel for 4-5* hotel prices. They charge you for a sneeze. Be aware.

It's appreciated that you brought the location convenience and comfort of your room to light. It's noted that you felt the hotel needed a renovation and found dining alternatives nearby. Your concerns about the additional charges are valid, and many hotels in high-demand areas have similar fees. This is often detailed in the reservation process for transparency. Your feedback is essential in helping us identify areas of improvement to ensure an enjoyable experience for our future guests.

What I thought was going to be $161 for an overnight stay, turned out to be $200, due to their Hidden fees. They charge a $25 Destination fee, & $10 WiFi fee, which they hit you with at Checkin. Apparently this is in the fine print of your emailed reservation confirmation. I find this to be deceptive, since my original total stated that it included taxes & fees. So buyer be ware of their hidden fees!
