Love, love, love staying here! So close to all that great Italian food in North End AND enjoyed Greenway park, new since our last time here. Cannot beat the location, hands down. Steps from Quincy Market and Shopping. Stayed in Rm 334, although it had an itsy bitsy balcony, didnt need it. It was so quiet and the room was plenty big and comfortable. Yes, hotels in cities cost $$$$, but we thought cost was quite fair. We had a wonderful time in Boston, despite the 100 degree weather. The free water, when everything costs, was a real treat. Thank You! The Norris'
Thank you Nick for extending our late check out and letting our car being Parked for the same reason in front of the hotel. Bless you Nick for your kindness. We really appreciated you very much. Our stay was fantastic. Nice room with a balcony and a fire place. The lobby was very inviting. Internet was working very well. It is a very clean hotel at a perfect location! Extra water is free in the lobby to collect.
The worst experience from the very first step into this hotel First of all, there is a strong smell of cigarettes inside like in a cheap casino We made a reservation for 4 nights, 2 adults and 1 kid. We came and found out that if only have a king bed in a room and if we want a roller bed for a child you need to pay extra $20 a night for it. But when we booked, it said “sleeps 3”. I showed them the screenshot of what’s included in the price we paid, this “sleeps 3” and they only kept saying “no,you have to pay extra” You came only yesterday but it already seems like you have to pay for every move in this hotel. If you want to use their wifi in your room, you must become their member 🤦🏻♀️😂 I’m surprised that toilet paper is free, but I’ll tell you for sure in a 4 days when we check out Btw the room they gave us is tiiiiiny and the view is definitely not the one like from pictures of the hotel, you can see other building’s wall only :)…
Weekend in Boston and stayed at the Bostonian with two teenagers an dour 8 year Old. Rooms are very nice and spacious. Bar had lost aircon so was really hot so after one drink we had to leave. Great location to explore Boston town centre, North end, harborside.
The location of the Bostonian is the one stand out - you are literally steps from many of Boston’s best spots. Unfortunately, the hotel itself is past it’s prime. The lobby is very dark and unwelcoming, has an odd smell, and cooler with bottled ice water (a nice touch) near the front desk was never cold (just wet from the melted ice). There was only one working elevator, and on our floor, a thermostat in the main hallway was hanging precariously from the wall. The $25 a night “resort fee” implies there is a resort, which could not be further from the truth. In fact, you have to request virtually everything (including room cleaning). The bed was decent, and I did appreciate that our room has a separate mirror/counter in addition to the bathroom. Clearly this property is relying on past positive reviews from better times, which given the stellar location, is too bad. With minimal effort, it could be much, much better.…
Great location, close to historical sites. Walking distance to Freedom Trail, North End, and waterfront. Easy in/out access to parking garage across the street. Clean, spacious room. Friendly staff. The only drawbacks were the street noise (we were on the 2nd floor facing the main street) and I wish we’d had a fridge in the room as we are on a multi-city road trip and packed snacks and drinks. There was ice for our cooler but a fridge would have been convenient. I’d recommend this hotel to friends.
We stayed for a week in July 2022. Location is great but that is the only positive. Not good value for money. Beware of the extra 25 dollars a night which is supposed to cover WiFi, bottled water and deep clean....well you have to ask for everything...even toilet paper at reception! We even took our rubbish down to reception. No sign of a deep clean....can only conclude that this charge is a con and a 4* hotel, it is NOT. Room was very tired, noisy and we had to switch off the air conditioning if you wanted to sleep. Reception staff were OK.
We stayed for 2 nights and the experience was as expected based on other reviews. The hotel is a little tired (1 of the 2 elevators was broken the entire time, the carpets were well-worn) the staff wasn’t overly friendly, but the location is excellent. It was the perfect home base for everything we wanted to see in Boston. Interactions with the staff were challenging. My husband asked if they had a recycling bin in the lobby and the manager said just to throw it out and “they sort it out later” which was a bit condescending. There is also an issue between hotel management and valet service. They openly hate each other and customers are left stuck in between with bad service and waiting forever for your car because of miscommunications. Not sure that we’d stay here again or any other Millenium property after this experience.…
If you want to experience the history of Boston this is the place to stay. Also within walking distance of many tours, museums and the Boston Aquarium. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Will be back!
We expected better for the price paid (almost $300 for 1 night). Instead, we got a fairly tired room with stained carpet, peeling wallpaper and a mouldy smell. Beware that rooms overlooking Quincy Market are extremely noisy. The only thing going for this hotel is the excellent location slap bang in the middle of Boston. I wouldn't return there.
