I liked the Inn a lot, it's a great location for access to great restaurants, shops and coffee and the 7-11 across the street was handy too. The room was spacious and stylish and you could definitely self-cater quite comfortably with a good kitchen. There is a really good supermarket give minutes walk away for all that kind of stuff. It did take me a little bit of time to work out the shower, not the first time that has happened I hasten to add, but once understood, it was fine. As it is in a residential area, albeit a block back from the edge of the CBD, there can be a bit of street noise, with horns etc but it certainly wasn't an inconvenience. One little thing was that gaining access to the building wasn't entirely straightforward. The codes I had worked fine initially, but then, after a day, they didn't work for the front door. I am happy to acknowledge being technologically challenged from time to time, but it just wasn't working. The staff were great at getting me in, but it was just a little frustrating, particularly as I could use the same code to access my room. It's only a small thing, but I did wonder whether everything would be as smooth should you be arriving later in the evening. All up, I would definitely consider staying at The Inn again in what was a most stylish room, in a great location in Boston.…
We arrived and the room was dirty along with only 2 pieces of furniture a couch and a chair not at all what was described in the pictures and website. Both pieces of furniture were dirty and the chair was ripped with the stuffing coming out. The front office assistant(very nice) came and covered the couch with a sheet & chair with a blanket so that we could sit on it. The carpet and floor were filthy and stained. When addressing our issues with the general manager Tom, he said I was insulting & my complaints weren’t valid and he wouldn’t refund our stay or furnish the room according to the website descriptions. I am honestly posting our experience to help others. We will never stay here again regardless of the great location.
Our first visit to Boston and we chose the Back Bay area. Instead of a hotel we wanted something with kitchen facilities and separate bedroom. The Inn at St. Botolph was perfect! Located in a brownstone building, it is close to bus and T routes, restaurants, shopping, etc. The staff were very welcoming and happy to answer our questions. Our apartment was very clean, and decorated in a contemporary style. Breakfast is provided each morning too. We are extremely glad we chose The Inn at St. Botolph!
Perfect location, nice rooms, lots of breakfast options, and most importantly—great staff!! Staff members were SO friendly and helpful not only when we were there, but before we even arrived. Great communication. Would stay here every time I came to Boston! Price is better than hotels in the city as well, and these are better rooms as they’re more like small apartments.
The location was perfect, stayed 2 nights so comfortable, great space, kitchen with refrigerator, stove, dishes, everything you need. Living area with desk for work, , beautiful bedroom with sliding doors, great mattress. Shower perfect for two. Accessible to Prudential, Copley Square, restaurants, bars and good for walking, can't wait to book again!!
We stayed here for 2 nights and couldn't fault the hotel and service. We had a lovely room with kitchnette and separate living area. The breakfast was continental style with a good choice. Tom was very friendly and helpful and saved my bracelet for me that had left in the safe, for us to collect before we flew home. The safe was a bit too high up so we couldn't see it to it. The location is good.
Although the location was great, our experience was a little disappointing. The furniture in the sitting room was horribly uncomfortable. Both the loveseat and chair were lumpy and old. So uncomfortable that we spent time lounging on the bed instead. I had also requested housekeeping service on day 2, but they never showed, and by the next day, both our trash cans were overflowing. I had to ask a second time on day 3, and thankfully they came later that day. For the price, I expected better. I doubt we will be returning
Our time at the inn was enjoyable. It was a quaint environment, albeit a little dated with its furnishings. Our room had a separation betting area and bedroom. The person at the desk greeted us. There was no one available to make small adjustments to the room. We were there for 4 nights. The location was close to almost all the important areas of Boston. There should be some modernization, but overall it was an enjoyable experience.
Received an email a couple of days before check in to say our room had been upgraded. Good start! Staff let us check in early no questions asked. They were very pleasant and helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. The room was a very good size, and was comfortable and clean. Robes were a nice touch Location is good for walking around Boston The only minor issue is the breakfast- it is a self serve pantry style breakfast and is very basic- mostly breads and cereals.
My friend and I were delighted by the location: close to sites and great restaurants. Hotel staff helped us figure out busses to the catacombs and saved us $ over expensive tours. Liked the breakfast included. Will definitely return. Fairly spacious room too.
