We spent two nights here on a quick stop over in Boston. The location is absolutely perfect with close bars and restaurants packed even on Monday and Tuesday nights. It is close to all the main areas and we walked everywhere during our time here. The property is absolutely gorgeous, well maintained and immaculate. We stayed in an inner room...

This is a beautiful B and B in a lovely area of Boston. Our room was beyond comfortable and the beds are especially comfortable. The price is reasonable for the area. A few things to know before you book. Read their website! This is more of a BnB, than an inn. It is a brownstone without an elevator and you...

We are happy to hear you enjoyed your time at Clarendon Square and thank you for mentioning the stairs. They are a notable architectural feature of the property and must be navigated. As urban dwellers, we walk about our historic city. It is easy to get lost and most of our guests prefer the ease and convenience of using their...

Ticked (nearly) all the boxes, my only reservation being the necessity to navigate lots of stairs to get to my room. Having said that this is a very well run establishment in a fantastic area and I'd return without hesitation. The owners/staff were very professional and helpful, as well as making the effort to be engaged with their guests...making it...

My wife and I spent a lovely long weekend in Boston and loved the Clarendon Square Inn. It's located in the South End which is a wonderful spot to use as a home base. We are very familiar with Boston and have stayed at many places but really enjoyed the out of the way feel of the place. We felt...

We stayed at Clarendon Square on our recent trip to Boston and found it to be everything we love about the B&B experience. The decor was tastefully cozy while honoring the historic nature of the property. Stephen and Bobby were the perfect innkeepers, informative, welcoming and wonderful to chat with. If you are looking for a personal touch amid historic beauty...

We lucked into finding this gem at the last minute. The inn is a totally renovated townhouse that is swoon-worthy, from top to bottom. While the character has been maintained, the comfortable furnishings are a mix of transitional, modern and antique. Our room was large and beautiful, with a comfortable sitting area and a lovely view of the street below....

Best place to stay in Boston! We stayed here in May and couldn't wait to return! Just had a great two nights again! Super clean, super friendly and helpful staff, awesome location to walk anywhere, Newbury, Fenway, restaurants...no shortage of towels, water, pillows, extra supplies...anything you need they can help you with! Rooftop patio makes for a great "private" restaurant....

Gorgeous period property in a quiet, tree-lined street just 7 mins walk from Back Bay Station. From here we walked to everywhere we wanted to go in Boston, with no need for public transport or cabs. The rooms are very stylish and comfortable. Breakfast is substantial and can be taken outside on the deck or in the elegant dining room....

We absolutely LOVED this B&B. It's in a neighborhood within walking distance to restaurants, the library, and the freedom trail. Uber is also very easy to use in the city. At the B&B we enjoyed the rooftop hot tub and views and we loved eating breakfast outside. Our room was #4 and had a very comfortable bed, was ultra clean,...

I don't typically like B&Bs because I prefer my privacy but the Clarendon Square has changed me! It is absolutely lovely, clean, beautifully decorated (especially at Christmas time), modern, and low-key. My husband and I were never pressured to spend time with strangers, though we did and we enjoyed it immensely. The roof-top hot tub was such a fun surprise!...

Staying in South End

Neighbourhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
