Everything is nice in the room. Although there is a leakage from ceiling, but It doesn’t bother me too much. The service is good. The customer service reply rapidly. The location is super. It’s close to all the nice restaurants and shopping, very convenient. I love the little kitchen most, especially the electric kettle and the good size of refrigerator. I will definitely stay here again next time visit.
Our experience was in room #12 on the ground floor. It was clean and spacious enough for our 3 night stay. I loved being on Commonwealth Avenue with everything within walking distance. Great eateries, shopping, theater and history! My husband and I grew up in Boston and are very familiar with the area, but even if you’re not, it’s the perfect location to explore Back Bay. Given the high price of hotels in the area, this was an affordable option. No one on site, but help is always available via text. We would definitely stay again and we probably will in September.
I have spent the last 3 hours trying to just add a night, and at the end of the day, I've found it is literally impossible. My first 4 nights were booked with Expedia, and they couldn't do it because Sondor took their availability off the table after I booked my room. Sondor is playing games, saying to add one night in this same room, which Travelocity, Expedia, and every other site advertises for $175, is $400. This isn't even a hotel - it's really just an Air-B&B condo on steroids. They literally have no customer service or even a desk to check in at. As for Expedia - if my company hadn't referred me to it I could have saved $20-$30 on any other site. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY BOOKING AT THIS SONDOR OR USING EXPEDIA
My brother goest o Harvard so I decided to take a trip to Boston and spend some time with him. The area is very nice and safe. The building is quiet and cozy. It was only a 10 minute uber ride to get to the Harvard campus in Cambridge. I was walking distance from the Green line (train) and amtrak station. I plan on staying here again for my brother's graduation in May.
Loved our stay at Sonder. The property is very centrally located, so it's convenient to get anywhere in Boston. The room itself is very comfortable & clean. The Sonder team did an amazing job renovating the historical brownstone. Room is a bit on the small side, but still perfect for a couple (and to be expected when you're located in central Boston).
We spent a night in the city. 284 Comm Ave is a perfect location to stay over and enjoy breakfast on Newbury St in the morning and shopping or running the Charles. Rooms are nicely appointed, clean and ours had a kitchenette with fridge/coffee maker/ microwave. Bed had a big comfy duvet. We will stay again! Thank you Sonder.
This location in Boston's Back Bay was amazingly accessible: walking distance to my workplace in Cambridge as well as the Charles River and the shops & restaurants of Newberry and Boylston. The room itself was spotless with upscale decor in the bathroom. The all-digital checkin/checkout and high quality support from staff via the App (which we did use) was quick and effective. There's a quaint little common area (Library and also outdoor patio) if you want to get (not too far) away from your room.
Great stay. Clean and easy. Parking in the city is never fun but we lucked out this trip. The room was big and the bed comfortable. The location is terrific and easy to walk the shops of Newbury St and the mall is close to. Great restaurants. No complaints!
Great location and great place to stay, highly recommended. The hotel is close to diverse range of restaurants, supermarkets and mall. It is super modern and clean. It even has a storage section for your luggage.
If you have stayed in this hotel before, you might remember it was charming, with a lovely staff, breakfast nook (and complimentary continental breakfast and tea in the afternoon). Well, things have changed considerably. We were expecting a different experience, but we were unprepared for what a Sonder means. You will be basically left on your own, with only a stranger on an app (because you have to download the app) to help you. There is trash in the hallways. There is no staff. You basically get a key, and an app, and that is it. Just…not worth the money. If we had understood what we were getting into, we would have kept our memories of the property as it used to be intact…and just paid for a full hotel. Meh, Yuck, Nope.
