I arrived at the Gilded Lily, 4 Claremont Park quite late on a Saturday evening. A couple of friends had picked my up from Logan International Airport and drove into the city and at that time the traffic was fairly light so the journey was only 15-20 minutes if that. The door signage for the Guest House is very discreet...

A great location situated on a quiet residential street in the South End. This is a great find. My Garden Room was perfect and overlooked a courtyard garden....inside it had all the amenities you would ever want. Room rates include taxes and breakfast. There is a minimum stay of two nights on a weekend but during the week you can...

My husband and I were in Boston for one night to celebrate our anniversary. Our stay at The Gilded Lily was perfect. The room was warm and inviting, clean, and had a comfortable bed to rest in after a long day of sightseeing. Check in process was easy. There was key pad entry to the house and room so no...

I can't imagine a better experience. This property is perfect for our needs, but also should satisfy a wide range of travelers. Rooms are very clean and well-maintained. The location is perfect: close to many good restaurants, near public transportation, near Berklee, MIT, etc., beautiful neighborhood and quiet. The host is wonderful - he is there if needed and otherwise...

The Gilded Lily bed and breakfast is walking distance from everything in Boston, and is within a few blocks of all the good restaurants one could wish for. The townhouse is beautifully restored, the daily cleanup and breakfast fridge fill is thorough and unobtrusive, and the host is charming and full of great tips. Unlike some B&Bs, there is no...

We had a perfect and beautiful stay at the Gilded Lily. The location of the B&B is really nice and James is really welcome. We had a room at the back of the house that was really quiet. We can just heard sometimes the people upstairs but juste for 5 minutes! The shared kitchen is an excellent idea and there...

Our stay at The Gilded Lily could not have been more relaxing. Access to our room and the establishment was by keypad, making our trips to and from our room very streamlined. We stayed in The Parlor Room #2, and it was immaculately clean and tidy. Barcelona Wine Bar and The Beehive were only a comfortable 12 minute walk away....

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
