This is a terrific, recently renovated, contemporary boutique hotel in a central part of Boston. It has all the amenities of a modern hotel, but also contains a rich history that's central to the city.

Love the Curio. Not your typical hotel room. Great décor. Good location if want to be downtown Boston. Staff very good - cheerful and helpful. Room temperature easy to regulate and very comfortable. Even have umbrellas in room for you to borrow in case you forget your own.

We arrived and they asked if we needed valet and when I said no they directed me to the nearest parking garage. BE ADVISED IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO PAY A FORTUNE. They do not have parking passes at the hotel or garage. The staff member was friendly but was not sure about the deposit rate. She listed off...

Thank you for visiting us D881HUalexandrad. We value your business. The team was disappointed to hear that your stay with us did not exceed your expectations. Parking rates in the city are sometimes higher than expected, but we do try to provide convenient service for our guests with valet parking. It is most certainly our standard that everything within our...

Stayed at the Ames for the first time and loved to see it was part of the Hilton chain. Definitely more "upscale" theme than Hilton, Hilton Garden, etc Bar was under construction so will be better when the bar is back open.

I stayed last minute at this hotel before new year. What amazing service. The nice man David at the checkin desk provided service beyond any normal Hilton. The rooms were super clean and were a pleasure to stay in. Bathrooms stocked with Molton Brown!!! And the breakfast was nice. The biggest surprise is the personal care to me as a...

I picked this hotel for its proximity to my meetings in Boston and I was very pleasantly surprised by the decor. Really well located and overall a good choice for a stopover - but you leave Ames with a strange feeling... May be its the fact that the restaurant is closed for renovations and the interim dining room feels more like a second-grade airline lounge.. May be its the fact that there's no lobby or shared space to spend any time...

Lovely boutique hotel in great location beside Quincy Market. Really nice rooms. Would definitely stay here again. We didn't have breakfast here so I can't comment on this but there are plenty of places nearby to eat.

Hotel was good overall- location is fine- the most memorable thing we're the ladies at breakfast. Food itself very limited- but the service from them made it a daily event for me. Coffee to go- paper- smile- what more can you ask to start the day! (Better food selection- that's all!)

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
