The Hyatt was only blocks from Faneuil Hall and not far from the North End and other places of interest. Very centrally located and there's no need to take your car out of the garage to explore Boston. Parking was very convenient. Hotel staff was very helpful. Rooms are small with every space used but comfortable since we were not spending a good deal of time in the room. Check the restaurant sites before you go, though - there are places for a small breakfast (The Well, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts) but covid has affected what's open. We still enjoyed some nice meals, though, and didn't have to go too far from the hotel. We would definitely stay there again.

I took my 7 year old son here for a one night "Boston stay adventure" during school vacation. The hotel is located in the heart of the city 2 minutes walk from the Boston Common, about a 5-7 minute walk from the Aquarium, right next to Fanueil Hall and Old South Church. The lobby feels modern, trendy and clean. Besart was the first Host (Don't know if that's the title, the person who greets you at the check in desk) that we worked with. He helped us on the phone with our reservation and figuring out parking and getting up to the room. Not always an easy task with a rowdy hungry 7 year old. Laura helped us the next morning. Both experiences couldn't have been nicer. Tucked away on Devonshire street it feels like a private boutique hotel. Unfortunately due to covid no room service at the moment but we walked in 5 minutes to the Bostonia Public House for dinner, and many walkable restaurants abound. We had breakfast at Cafe Bonjour about a 6 minute walk away. Totally delicious, and one block over from the common so afterwards we went right to the playground and then Public Garden. The room was efficient. Not "roomy" but honestly just right for our needs. Spotlessly clean and very attractive. The bed was outrageously comfortable. We will certainly be staying here again in the future. In fact the only things I can think of that were even a little less than ideal was the lack of room service, which one would imagine is temporary due to covid, and the room was small but at a price of $120 for the night we honestly didn't need more than that. I really have zero complaints.

Located in a perfect location downtown Boston near Faneuil market place. Somewhat small I would say mid range under 200 rooms. Usually there was no one at front desk when I wanted to speak to them. When I asked for someone to come up and help with T.V. and air condition they came within about five minutes time and were very helpful. When I called on the phone they picked up immediately. They knew me by name Laura and Besart. They were both there not at the same time she in the day time and Besart at night. That was comforting to me. I could go on and on about how nice this place was to me. They printed out boarding pass for me. They let me stay until 3:00 p.m. on my last day there when check out time I believe was between 10 and 11 a.m. no 11 a.m. They carried my luggage out to the cab and made me feel like family. What more can I say. What more can I say. What more can I sat. What more can I say. What more can I say and I could say more but what more is there to say and I have to say 200 words minimum which is hard to do for any review. I would definitely go back there. I understand there was a gym but I never went or saw this. I know they provided some breakfast or something in the morning but I don't eat much and therefore I didn't partake of anything. There was ice on the third floor if I wanted it. There was coffee in the room if I wanted it and there was bottled water in the room if I wanted it. It was $8.00. However, If you want it you pay for it. I don't mind except that I didn't need it. I bought a drink in from outside and it stayed fairly cold for me to have with my medicines that I must take twice a day. The hotel is near the North End and Back Bay and lots of places very cones and very near the State Street T station and therefore very convenient for me and I am sure for anyone else that stays there. It was also very quiet and therefore easy to sleep there. I could not tell if there was anyone else on my floor which was a plus. I thank them very much for my stay there.

the rooms were tiny. Any hotel, but particularly one in the Boston business district, has to have a desk in every room to accommodate business needs. The rooms at the Hyatt Centric, however, don't. And for me that's a deal-breaker.

DCPhotog21, Thank you for your feedback! Although the rooms are small, they were designed to be highly efficient. I can understand our portable desk is less traditional and not ideal for someone who is looking to spread out. I'm sorry that our hotel didn't fit your travel needs during your recent visit to Boston. Regards, Shawn C. General Manager

We arrived for a long weekend (Thursday - Monday), on Easter weekend. We wanted to get away from NY but during COVID traveling is not the easiest. Boston being only 4 hours away was an easy getaway. Our stay was absolutely fantastic. The hotel is a great location, close to all, clean, and most importantly the staff is absolutely amazing! Hotel - We originally were going to book through expedia, as it was $20 less per night. We called Hyatt and they matched expedia's pricing and gave us an additional 20% off! We were already starting off on the right foot with Hyatt! The hotel itself is super clean, and central to EVERYTHING. You can walk pretty much anywhere you need to go during your stay. About a half mile from the seaport district, a quick walk to the north end where you can visit Little Italy etc. Very close to many historic sites as well as the beginning of the freedom trail. You can walk to Duck Tours (highly recommended), Trolleys, Whale watching, Ghost tours etc. The restaurant in the hotel is closed, which kind of bummed us on a freezing cold night. But not to worry, the hotel lobby is open and usable. There are tables and seating available so we grabbed bottle of wine and ordered sushi on DoorDash and dined at the hotel. We played card games at the table and had a nice night in, and we were able to stay warm. The hotel was what you'd expect from a Hyatt, and the location could not be better. The Staff - All very friendly, and accommodating. They are not cleaning rooms daily due to COVID and keeping exposure to a minimum. But the staff was very helpful in getting us all the essentials needed daily, such as towels. All staff members were courteous and always greeted us nicely with smiles we could see through the masks! All seems like a normal Hyatt stay at this point. Then came the WOW factor - Laura and Lauren truly exceeded our expectations not once, not twice, but every single day! These two wonderful ladies are a true asset to the Hyatt Team. They were always there to offer advice on where to eat, where to go out, what tours to do, how to get SOX tickets (with 12% capacity at Fenway, which by the way we obtained at a good price thanks to their help), literally anything we needed. They were always available to help us with whatever questions we had. We often found ourselves asking them a question, receiving our answer, and then spending another 15 minutes or more just talking with them about anything or sometimes nothing, like they were our friends. This truly pushed our experience over the top! Lauren was also extremely helpful in a parking garage mess we got ourselves in to after I lost my parking ticket less than an hour into my stay. My girlfrined was emailing Lauren before our trip to help her out with surprising me for my birthday. I walked in to a room decorated with balloons and a sign, as well as some Sam Adams Boston Lager to start the trip off right! COVID in Boston - We never had a second of feeling unsafe. Rules are in place but everywhere you go you never hear "put your mask on" or any other true enforcement of policies. At first this may seem scary, but as we continued our stay we quickly learned the enforcement was not overly necessary because everyone just follows the rules. There is no friction between businesses and guests because the people of Boston are just doing the right thing at all times! When we brought this up to local people, most had similar responses, "Boston is in this together and we just want to get out of it together". This was particularly easing on our minds as New Yorkers. In NY it seems people have to be forced to do the right thing, and in Boston people just want to do the right thing. Overall our experience was great and we will be visiting Boston again. But I must say it is due to the hospitality of Laura and Lauren that we would absolutely chose this Hotel over and over and over again.
