friendly, welcoming; great location - very convenient for walking; comfortable beds, fine bathroom, good light through large windows. we stayed two nights on a cold February weekend and had a terrific time in the area - shopping, food, public library, MFA all within fairly easy walking distance. would do it again.

We stayed here for 3 nights in the basement room that is B&B. a huge, comfy bed with very effective heating in what was an absolutely arctic few days outside. The cold but deliciously healthy breakfast was delivered outside every morning. It's in the Southend area of Boston and pretty well everywhere is walkable and the T is close by...

My husband and I spent 3 weeks in the kitchinetty during oct/nov and the studio was very confortable. The kitchen didn't have too many utensils but if you're going to spend 2 or 5 days it is enough. The heather works in a good temperature, same in a cold weather.

During a recent visit, I stayed in the "new" room. From the color of the walls (a calming, light blue) to the beautifully decorated bathroom and kitchenette area, this was a great room. The location could not be better, with lots of coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. Great shopping is just a 5 minutes walk to Copley and...

My husband and I stayed 3 nights in Room 1. Lovely neighborhood, easy walk to the T, and many shops and eateries within a couple of blocks. The bathroom was located just outside the room, but did not present a problem. We stayed over a weekend with a Monday holiday, and the owner suggested we park in the school parking...

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights in early October. We could not have asked for a better stay! Both Kathe and Lisa were very helpful. They had our room ready 2 hours early and both gave us several wonderful suggestions on where to eat and what attractions were actually worth seeing. We stayed in the "King Suite"...

Room 1 A lovely room in a quiet well located neighbourhood. Easy walk into town and just round the corner from several good eateries. We had an excellent cold breakfast included with our room. Only very SLIGHT drawback is the bathroom is not part of the room, but is located directly adjacent to it. By leaving the bathroom door open,...

Our family (2 adults, 3 children) stayed in the 3 rooms on the ground floor and shared a bathroom which was small but well equipped. The rooms are clean, comfortable and much nicer than those you find in many soulless hotels. Very good location and only a short walk to Back Bay station/T line. Good value and as it isn't...

I stayed here in the private King room on the garden level for 4 nights. Upon my (late) arrival Lisa was there to welcome me and give me advice on where to get a meal and groceries in the neighbourhood. The bed was comfortable. The room was perfectly appointed with old world charm and modern amenities like a/c and satellite...

Staying in South End

Neighbourhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
