This bed and breakfast is amazing. It's perfectly located in the south end and is a short walk to downtown. The rooms are all quite nice, but if you're tall be warned that the standard queen rooms have sloping ceilings so you may need to watch your head. Each room has its own bathroom (at least the standard queen and...

Based on Trip Advisor reviews we thought we would try out 14 Union Park this year for the Marathon and we couldn't have been happier! This well taken care of historic brownstone was a great place to call home for the weekend. The fruit bowl and granola bars are all you need for Breakfast. If you want a little more...

My husband and I stayed on the second floor in the blue room. It was very comfortable and the bathroom was very modern and functional. The stairs going up to the rooms are not for the faint at heart but the home was quiet and beautiful. The area was perfect for shopping, dining and even had a grocery down the...

This is not really a bed and breakfast. The owner/manager does not actually interact with the guests and there is no communal breakfast--fruit, breakfast bars, coffee are provided. This created minor issues that were quickly resolved. The owner is easily reached by phone or email so toilet paper, missing glassware was provided promptly. The beautiful period details of the building,...

Two days with absolute relaxation at the end of a New England journey. From the first step up to this magnificent house it was a special experience, and when entering the very beautiful interior we were overwhelmed by the tasteful and charming rooms. The location is perfect for exploring most of central Boston, which is within walking distance. Plenty of...

Fabulous location in a quiet tree-lined street; walking distance to gorgeous Back Bay and Downtown; surrounded by lovely cafes and restaurants. Perfect. The Union Park Inn is totally charming. We had a very large well furnished room with beautiful new bathroom, comfortable bed, nice linen and gorgeous windows overlooking this historic neighbourhood. A steep narrow staircase leads to the guest...

The entire experience was stellar..the property is perfectly located, the neighborhood is beautiful, quiet but still so convenient to food, fun, strolling and feeling as if you are a part of the area. Peter was very responsive to our needs for better air conditioning and within 12 hours had installed a window unit. There was even a little office area...

It was a nice surprise to find our r9oom was big enough to swing a cow, not a cat. The house is tastefully decorated and our room was well-laid out. the stairs are steep and there is no elevator but that didn't detract from our visit. Considering the average price of rooms in Boston city I think this house is...

We took the top floor room facing the street. It was lovely BUT 60 steps up from the sidewalk. There are many other sand lower rooms but this is a "brownstone" - tall and narrow with three long staircases. It's a guest house, not a B&B but on our floor your host, Joe, provides a small but complete kitchen with...

Lovely place to stay. The only downside is that it is not super close to any mass transit, but we used Über to get around and had no problem. Now be prepared to haul your luggage up many flights of stairs! I was because I read reviews, but it was still challenging for two out of shape 50 year olds!...

Staying in South End

Neighbourhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
