Centrally located. We walked to the commons, the Prudential Center, the Freedom Trail and a ton of other places. Subway is steps from the door and Chinatown is around the corner. On top of all that its a beautiful hotel with a good bar and a very comfortable bed.

Excellent hotel in a great location near the theater district, restaurants, lounges, clubs, 15 minutes from the airport, 5 minutes walk to a trolley stop, 20 minute walk to the Quincy Market area, not to mention right next door to Tuff's Medical Center. Very good $ breakfast, friendly staff, would definitely stay again.

My family and I had a very pleasant staff at the DoubleTree Downtown during a recent business trip to Boston. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was very welcoming and accommodating. The location was absolutely ideal. We took Amtrak from Washington, DC into Boston South Station and the hotel was a short 10 minute walk away. We...

This hotel has everything you need and in a convenient location. Service was good - very friendly/helpful. Breakfast was basic but still quite decent. Good value for money overall - would stay here again!

Only had the pleasure of staying one night as my daughter was visiting a nearby college, but I loved the hotel. Very boutique-like charm, and the room was great! Loved the cookies upon arrival! The staff was very friendly and helpful. I especially appreciated being able to check out later when my daughter felt ill while waiting for our later...

Right across street. The subway next door. Near Chinatown. Staff very nice and anxious to please. Had heating problem in room but was fixed immediately. Food very decent for a hotel and the bartender was the best.

Had an enjoyable stay here while visiting our son at Emerson College. Nice newer building as opposed to some of the renovations we've stayed at in Boston. Room was a little small but nicely appointed. Tip: Park in the Tufts structure next door for $34 a day instead of the $53 valet parking.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
