We have stayed once or twice per year here for the past several years, and enjoy it just as much as every time before. It has a wonderful Boston location and the hotel staff is as polite and friendly on each and every visit. It's wonderful here each time.

Great Hotel and Great Location. Parking is extremely expensive. There are several alternatives within a few blocks. Staff was friendly and the rooms are nice size. Really wanted to get to the Gym but did not make it. Next Time.

We had a very nice stay at the Ritz. We were warmly greeted by the staff. Our room was very nice and clean but nothing spectacular. Similar to other nice hotels. The decor was fairly generic. The marble bathroom was the best part of the room. It was very spacious with a walk in shower and great soaking bathtub. The...

Reception was great. Offered to have coffee maker sent to the room. Too bad the quality of the actual coffee was not good. We have stayed here in the past with our dog and the staff was wonderful in accommodating us.

I am not normally a Ritz fan as I find them too pretentious and stuffy. I was pleasantly surprised. This is a great hotel in a perfect location to restaurants, parks, shopping and attractions. The service from the concierge, reception, doormen, through to housekeeping was exceptional. The club lounge was a great addition and well worth the additional $150 per...

I attended a New Year's Eve wedding at the Ritz. What a beautiful night, great food and wonderful accommodations! The banquet hall was easy to navigate, the bed was super comfy and valet parking made arrival and departure a breeze!

It's been a while ago, but we had a great stay. Everybody was very helpfull and friendly! Staff even helped us out when we needed NBA tickets. Even though the game was sold out the hotel arranged us some tickets for the play-off game against Miami. Had some great drinks as well at the bar.

A wonderful hotel and a wonderful experience. The staff could not have been better and the room excellent. Even the Boston rain did not dampen our enjoyment of the visit. The hotel is close to everything downtown including the skating rink and the Common.

The general gist of poor reviews is that the rooms are slightly dated... yes this is true but not dated enough to ruin a trip. We stayed at the hotel for 4 days as we had heard good things about it, we required interconnecting rooms being a party with teenagers, this was such a good decision as it gave us...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
