This is the place to stay for baseball fans in town for a game, with historic Fenway Park mere blocks away! We had a "Fenway" room with a view of the park and loved the special baseball decor touches throughout the hotel. Be sure to...More
I'm writing on behalf of my wife who's stayed there twice. The rooms are spacious, modern & comfortable, there is a great spot to eat called Eastern Standard. Convenient to town, BU & Fenway. Awesome location. There is valet parking. The staff are awesome. Welcoming....More

Great location especially if you have a child at Boston University! My wife’s 2nd visit and my initial stay.
Nice rooms, great staff. HOWEVER....I think it is reasonable to have a few basic expectations.

The rooms are quiet and nice. Parking is expensive but it is Boston. They have a good restaurant but it was too busy to eat at. Uno’s pizza is 200 feet away and there are other good options as well. The subway station is out...More
Awesome!! Clean. Friendly service. Beautiful room. The restaurant attached was great!! We arrived after 9pm and the restaurant was still going strong. There are two restaurants within the hotel. Starbucks also in the hotel area.

The Curse of the Bambino may have ended years ago, but loyal Red Sox fans will continue to infiltrate this home to historic Fenway Park, where you can find victory banners, people yelling in stereotypical Boston accents, and lots of sports bars. Located within Kenmore Square, the old gas station Citgo sign is another Boston skyline classic seen throughout the city. In addition to a hectic and diehard sports
mentality, this neighborhood is also home to some of Boston’s many universities. Move from Boston University territory to that of Northeastern, and spend time at the famous Museum of Fine Arts. For more culture, check out the smaller but equally beautiful Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Continue off the beaten path and check out the green space in the Back Bay Fens, a pretty community garden. This diverse neighborhood has a mix of universities, sports, culture, and more residential green space.

I've stayed in both rooms. I recently stayed in the Fenway room for 2 nights with my husband and 16 year old daughter. There wasn't a game (not baseball season quite yet), and therefore it was very quiet. It overlooks the Mass Pike and there's a view of Fenway Park. I've previously stayed in a Kenmore room and I had no complaints but it does overlook Comm Ave where there is traffic at times and you can occasion here some noise (but nothing that would keep you awake). If I had to choose one or the other, I'd pick the Fenway room again, although you really can't go wrong with both.

Thank you for your enquiry and for selecting the Hotel Commonwealth for your upcoming visit to Boston. We offer valet parking for $53 per night for our overnight guests. We look forward to hosting you!

The valet staff were about the most friendly of all. you can drop the car directly at the entrance and call down for retrieval - it is expensive to park, but of course it is Boston. Given that Fenway Park is right behind the hotel, I would suspect there are a number of proximate garages, but am not sure of their location and/or operating hours. Save travels!
