We stayed here due to appointments at an area hospital. This hotel is poorly maintained and in desperate need of a remodel. The location is good so it's too bad it's not well maintained. I would not choose to stay again and would prefer to pay more for better quality.

It gives what it promises, nothing more. But the location is great, in the middle of everything. Wi-fi is not working consistently at the floor, but they tell you that. Breakfast is in the mid-low average and this could be improved. Anyway...Boston is expensive, people!

My husband and I stayed at the Boston Common Hotel and Conference Center when we visited Boston during his Homecoming weekend. We mainly booked this cause most others were already booked. I think for this price there are much better options available. The breakfast was very mediocre and the rooms were fine, but not great.

The location is very good. We never used metro or buses, no need for that. However, the stuffs are not helpful or cheerful. I think the price is worth it.Because when I compare this hotel to others it is more inexpensive. So it could be a good choice for Boston but not best.

I've stayed with my girlfriend. Our rooms floor and the bathroom wasn't clean, breakfast was very basic but the hotel is in a very good location. So in total I can say that I am not gonna stay again but it was an okay hotel considering their price.

Very well located and reasonably priced. Good business center facilities and a decent breakfast. Breakfast was muffins, bagels, croissants, cereal and fruit, also with tea, coffee and juice. Great location. Only downside is the lack of wifi in the room, were on the 8th floor and barely could connect. Staff also not particularly friendly. But for the price compared with...

Place was neat and tidy, clean and comfortable, great location with many shops and food places near by, bed was comfortable and there wasn't any noise to be heard. staff are friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay here and would be more than happy to stay again.

Overpriced, unfriendly, no WiFi in room, no breakfast or newspaper offered, no discount on very expensive parking, mold on bathroom tiles, hair and dirt on bathroom floor, nightstand with fingerprints and glassmarks, dust. On the plus side, convenient parking, great location, good closet space, and relatively quiet.

I will start with the good: very friendly staff, attentive and welcoming! Very helpful and so nice!! Hotel is very close to the subway and a Starbucks. The not-so-good: For the price, the quality was not seen. The room was tiny and outdated. The "Queen" bed was a full size, not really a queen, but it was a very comfortable...

The only good thing about this hotel was the comfortable beds and the initial room I stayed in (room 629) was large and similar to an old English B&B. Bathroom was tiny but ok. Closet was great! There is no wifi in any of the rooms only in the lobby - claims that it is an old building are ridiculous...

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
