I picked the Residence Inn instead of a hotel in the Back Bay area as I had a business meeting near the TD Center and was traveling by Amtrak to Boston. It was an easy walk from North Station and I found the room and staff excellent for my needs. The free internet and full breakfast was a great bonus.

I stay here nearly every week. The hotel staff and management are very friendly and accommodating and the location is very convenient for me. The rooms are very well maintained, clean and comfortable. I work in Charlestown so I don’t have to contend with Boston traffic, if I choose I can walk to work. There are a number of places...

We had a very nice stay and their candy is delicious! Your near the U.S.S constitution. They don't have a lot of places to eat but they do have menus and places do deliver. It's a clean and nice hotel.

We have family in Charlestown and this is pretty much the only option. Prices are what you'd expect given that situation. Wasn't thrilled spending four grand for a week in a standard residence inn but that being said, it was clean, relatively spacious, and the free breakfast is a nice touch.

We enjoyed the location right on the Freedom Trail and the view of the water. We love the residence inn free breakfast buffets and sitting outside by the boats made it even more fun. But best of all was the service--they went the extra mile, from the valet directing my husband to get a free parking spot that just opened...

We had 2 rooms for our family vacation. They were both clean and well maintained. Overall, the staff was excellent. Almost everyone including the Housekeepers were very friendly. The Tudor Wharf in Charlestown is a great hotel and a great location within the City of Boston. The staff is very cordial, the rates are lower than other hotels on the water, and the rooms are much larger and fully equipped if you want an alternative to eating out all the time. Also, the beds are really comfortable and...

Staying in Charlestown

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlestown
Charlestown’s hilly roads, narrow streets and gaslight lamps, make it an enticing neighborhood to visit. Follow the Freedom Trail over the Washington St bridge from the North End or take the scenic water locks to Paul Revere Park. Walk through City Square and stroll down cute Main street, wandering up the windy residential streets to Monument Square, where you can learn about the city’s history along with a great view of Boston at the Bunker Hill Monument. While it’s not a huge area, there are some excellent restaurants. Find your way to the Charlestown Navy Yard, which is a developing area with lots of condos and an additional site for Massachusetts General Hospital research centers. Here you will also find the USS Constitution Museum. After you’re done, hop on an MBTA ferry at the dock on Baxter street and zip on over to Long Wharf and the New England Aquarium.
