Detailed Reviews
We needed a place to stay while visiting Boston University and this was the closest and most reasonably priced hotel I could find. It's a stone's throw from Fenway Park so I'm sure the prices are astronomical when there's a game, but otherwise it was one of the cheapest in the area especially for this quality. It was a 15 minute walk to the University Admissions office.
The room and bathroom were spacious, with a king bed and sofabed for the three of us. We were on the top floor (8th) which also has a gym with a small pool and an unattended lounge area where you can hang out. I was not crazy about the breakfast the next morning--they had the standard scrambled eggs, sausage and oatmeal but something about it was off, it just didn't taste fresh. Everything else about the stay was fine. If you park be ready to pay the $55/night. I looked around the area and even though there are other parking garages around given it's right next to Fenway, the only ones I could find had overnight rates that only went to 5am, after which you had to pay for another day.

Our stay at the Residence Inn Marriott was an exceptional family vacation. We had a great time during the July long weekend, and the property contributed positively to our experience. While there were some minor issues, they did not significantly impact our overall enjoyment.
Rooms: Upon arrival, the rooms were clean but had a lingering seafood odor from previous guests. We used the air conditioning and sprayed some cologne to mask the smell. The housekeeping service, which was every other day, took a bit of getting used to with kids and diapers, but we managed. The one housekeeping session we had during our four-night stay was satisfactory.
Pool: The family enjoyed the pool on the 8th floor. It was the perfect size—not too big and not too small. It was consistently clean, and other families also seemed to enjoy it.
Parking: The valet parking fee was a bit of a shock at $68 plus tips, totaling over $300 for our stay. While I understand that parking fees are standard in the area, I would suggest reducing the fee for overnight guests to around $40. The valet service was convenient, with the lot located under the hotel, and texting the valet for car retrieval was extremely helpful.
Breakfast: Weekday breakfasts were pleasant with no lines and clean seating areas. However, July 4th morning was very busy, leading to long lines for food. It would be helpful if guests could clean up after themselves rather than leaving plates for staff. Perhaps a sign reminding guests to clear their tables would be beneficial, especially for international guests who may need direction.
Despite these minor inconveniences, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the excellent interactions with the staff.

Second time staying here....hotel is in a great location, right across the street from Fenway Park. We were here for the weekend and we never had to leave the 4-5 block radius around the hotel. Close to great restaurants and bars. The rooms are very spacious and modern and the breakfast was excellent! The staff is very friendly and helpful. One of the gentlemen behind the front desk, when we asked for a recommendation for a good place for a pastry or ice cream, walked us out to the front door and pointed us specifically in the right direction, showing us landmarks and such to look for when trying to locate the places. Would definitely stay here again when coming to Boston!

Sadly had to ask for a room change after I Lysol-ed the whole room only to look down and discover someone's bottle of nasal spray was left under the desk of the so-called clean room. A smear over the non-working light on the side of the bed near the switch. Not sure if that was cleaned with a rag producing the smear but wouldn't the cleaning staff notice the light wasn't working? Asked for water the next day, night bell girl still wearing her coat directed me to the water fountains outside the lobby bathrooms, which were turned off (yes, we're in a pandemic). I asked if I could have the water from the breakfast bags that were laid out. She said, "Yeah, but they're small". There was nothing else unless I wanted sink water. No complimentary bottles in the room. The $55/night parking fee which was half of my $119 room rate came with a gruff mean guy in the morning. I had asked the coat wearing night girl if I could have my car by 7:30 a.m. She assured me she would tell him when he came in at 7 a.m. When I arrived at 7:30 a.m. I asked him at his Valet podium. After asking me what? several times he barked, It's already out there!" Off I went.

Went to Residence Inn Boston Back for a couple of days last week with my daughter. We sent to see 2 Red Sox games. Hotel is in great location, 3 minute walk to Fenway, tons of great restaurants all around. Room was a suite which was very nice. My daughter could have her own space which was great. Nice Fridge and stove in the suite. The only thing that we didn't like was the breakfast. Usually Residence Inn have better breakfasts, but the eggs were runny and the sausages rubbery. Second morning we were there we decided just to go out and grab something for breakfast. We would come again to Residence Inn Fenway if going to Sox game

This is the second year in a row my daughter and I stayed at Residence Inn as we were once again, going to the Red Sox games. Location can't be beat, literally on top of Fenway. So nice to come out of game and within 5 minutes you are back in your hotel room. Bed super comfy, although my daughter said the couch was wicked uncomfortable. In the bathroom, the toilet had stains on the bottom, I'm assuming rust (or at least that's what I hope) When going into the bedroom from the living room you could barely get in as door would get the bed every time. Top drawer by bed wouldn't close as too close to bed. These are little thing but when you are spending good money for two nights, you wan't everything perfect. Breakfast has improved since last year so that was a positive. When we first got there, the TV in the bedroom wouldn't work. Two young gentlemen came and fixed it right away and were very polite.

We had 2 rooms for our family of 7 for the entire week. The reason we stayed here is for the breakfast for my kids. I called before reserving and was told they are still doing breakfast even with COVID 19 restrictions. They have a grab and go bag. What they didn’t tell me is that it’s the same cold bagel and granola bar everyday for 7 days. This is very disappointing. I recently stayed at a Hyatt Place. They managed to give something different everyday including potatoes and French toast one day also in a grab and go bag. The Marriott is being cheap and taking the easy way out. I would not recommend any Marriott that serves breakfast until the end of the pandemic. The only thing the manager could tell me is that there are places around here to buy breakfast. I didn’t need him to tell me to figure that out. Again, very disappointed and not what I expected of a Marriott.

I can't say enough great things about this hotel! Everyone from the Sales Manager, Michael , the front desk and valet personnel, and housekeeping staff have gone out of their way to make my team and I feel at home. This hotel is truly a home away from home with all the included amenities! Located in a great area, there are TONS of local restaurants and stores within walking/delivery distance. I will DEFINITELY book here every time I visit Boston!

This is a decent property with nice rooms. There is no room service with a short stay which is acceptable in a pandemic. There is also no real breakfast service except for a breakfast bag that includes a protein bar, some yogurt, & a sweet roll. Covid restrictions are posted and enforced when staff is around but many guests rebel against them.

In the last week I have stayed at Marriot locations in Brookline Coolidge Corner, Quincy, Peabody and right here in the residence inn.
Of all the locations this feels the safest, paired with a very friendly and welcoming staff and the rooms are fantastic.
Steps to the ballpark, the T and some good eats (though Covid has knocked some of my favorites out of business for now)
Great time for a visit and don't forget the roof top bar!!
