My daughter and I had a wonderful time at the Intercontinental Hotel. Everyone from the front desk to the guy who took our car treated us well. The room was perfect two impeccable queen size beds were comfortable and clean. The bathroom was great. Deep tub capped it off with a separate shower which was delightful. The room boasted a...

Professional, friendly staff from the time you walk in, to the time you check out. The hotel is very clean, the lobby, the room, the hallways. The king room I had was large with a large bathroom. I would stay here again.

We stayed during the President's Day weekend. As you approach the hotel, it looks so majestic. Location is perfect, walking distance to Quincy Market and Faneiul Hall. Since we know where the parking garage is, we went straight to the garage. The attendants were so welcoming and directed us where the door to the hotel is. As soon as we...

Walkable to most boston downtown area inclusing chinatown. Room is very clean and nice, and bed is very comfortable. The steam room is amazing!!! but the steam room opening hours is pretty limited. The room was bright, clean and roomy! Perfect for a family of four. The bathroom is huge and my boys loved the nice oversized tub, as did I. Beds were comfy as well. I asked for an empty mini fridge to keep in our room for our stay and they had it in the room waiting for me at check...

We had a wonderful stay in the InterContinental. Incredible nice staff, great room, excellent bed and the Sunday brunch was delicious. Also no sounds from other guests or outside noises. And near subway!

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
