My family and I had a wonderful stay over Christmas! As an ambassador member I received a fabulous room upgrade! Thank you. We are definitely looking forward to our next visit! I utilized the spa and wasn't disappointed! Room service was prompt and delicious.

I booked a basic room for my birthday and was upgraded since it was a special occasion. The women at the front desk was great! The next morning I accidentally broke something in my room. I pointed it out to housekeeping and they couldn't have been any nicer. They even let us check out later because my girlfriends wasn't feeling... More

We were looking for a hotel last minute to spend a night in Boston over Christmas break. The Intercontinental is the perfect location for walking to fanueil Hall, North End and the Aquarium. The hotel is clean and staff very friendly but also professional. Fitness room is extensive and pool perfect size.

This is one of my favorite hotels- rooms are either great city view or harbor view; always clean with a modern decor. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and food is great. I became an ambassador and now come back frequently with my family.

We stayed for 4 night New Year break. From the moment we arrived the staff were superb. Our room wasn't quite ready when we arrived so we were given complimentary drinks in the bar then paged when the room was available. Great room and spacious bathroom with the usual amenities and supplies from a hotel of this standard. What really... More

Rooms were nice even though we had a poor view (side of building). Not sure about the sliders that open the bedroom to the bathroom. Could be romantic for some and uncomfortable for others. Room was clean but carpet seemed worn for the age of the hotel. The wedding we attended was wonderful. Beautiful room with water views. Food was... More

Excellent Location right next to the waterfront. We stayed here during Pax East, one of the best rooms I have been in and has plenty of space for luggage/storage. its only a bridge away from the convention center.

InterContinental Boston is one of my world's favorite hotels: I'm willing to fly to Boston merely in order to stay there again. It enjoys a fantastic location on the waterfront with magnificent views, and it's within walking distance to many of the city's attractions. Valet parking is expensive - but there are cheaper garages around, and on weekends you can... More

I stayed here 3 nights on business. The entire staff was very helpful, especially the concierge. Room was big enough, nice bathroom. Definitely 4 star quality. Of course, in Boston, this also means big $$$. Special rate of $350 for the first 2 nights during the conference but $600+ for the third night :-(

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
