I've stayed at this hotel on several occasions. One of he nicest hotels I've stayed in on my many trips to Boston. Really convenient location. Only a block or so away from South Station making it very convenient to get around Boston while staying at the hotel. Rooms are roomy with floor to ceiling Windows. Hotel staff have been very... Intercontinental Boston is perfectly located if you plan to walk through the historical Boston, as we did. Everything is close. In addition to that, the hotel is great, with very good service and excellent views of the Boston waterfront. Ensure that you get a room on the waterfront side, as you will get a first line row for sunrise.

Well situated for business or pleasure. Not to far from airport or from the many areas of interest in Boston. Friendly, helpful , courteous staff. Bar and food slightly on the expensive side, but then Boston is one of the more expensive states. Rooms superb.

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel Intercontinental in Boston during this past Thanksgiving week (US Holiday). The prices were reasonable. The location is superb - right between the Seaport and the Financial District. It is walking distance to the Aquarium and even TD Garden (20 minutes). We booked a deluxe room on the 11th floor - corner room... More

This hotel is in a great location, with easy walking to the waterfront, Faneuil Hall and if you don't mind walking even the North End. The staff was friendly and helpful. The entertainment even on the night of Thanksgiving was great. We had a deluxe King room. The room was very spacious, immaculate and well appointed. My only complaint was... More

We stayed here thanksgiving weekend. The hotel has a terrific location on Boston's waterfront not far from downtown crossing and Boston Garden. This is a pet friendly hotel that charges a $75 fee per stay (not cheap, but much better than other 4 star hotels). The pluses: Location Very, very nice pool and health club Very friendly and helpful staff... More

Weekend trip to Boston for a friend's wedding. Extremely friendly front desk, when we arrived tired and jet lagged from Europe, big, clean room, great waterfront view. Breakfast buffet is excellent, huge variety of food. Close proximity to nearly everything makes this hotel a convenient hub for a city trip to explore Boston. We will come back!

We spent 4 nights in this hotel and enjoyed every minute of our stay. We had an exec room on the 12th floor which was very nice. Plenty of room, comfy bed, bath and shower. We had access to the lounge daily for breakfast and evening drinks which we thoroughly enjoyed especially the chef cooking omelettes at the weekend. There... More

Barry gave me a tour of the property, as I wanted to get a corporate rate. He couldn't have been nicer! The property is great, but what really sold me was the service. Barry took the time to show me their event space and dining space when I realized it may be a good fit for an event I was... More

Did a quick couple of days just prior to Thanksgiving in Boston as part of a week split with NYC. For such a big city the IHG hotels are few and far between. The IC was actually the cheapest and as a IHG Platinum I try to stay loyal. Location is excellent within walking distance of all the downtown sights... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
