I stayed at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel for a week. The hotel is nice. The location was convenient for the convention center but it wouldn't be for a tourist stay. My room had a view from the 19th floor. It was quiet and I...More
The hotel itself is nice and easy to get to, plus it's close to many concerts, the wharf, restaurants, etc. I attended a conference there so have a different perspective. The design and staff are good but the food was horrible (3 lunches and breakfast)...More
My family and I went to Boston to visit another family member who lived only a few blocks away from this hotel. We are MARRIOTT reward customers and have come to appreciate the libel of service offered by the brand. We arrived early to this...More
This hotel is nice overall, although nothing notably special (except waitress at breakfast who was great). Good beds, fine shower, Starbucks in the lobby. Near lots of restaurants and "buzz". Also, however, near a major concert venue. Concerts - very, very loud hard rock concerts...More
Hotel and staff was very nice, had room on the 18th floor that had view of the city and harbor. Room was clean and neat and bed very comfortable. Parking is an issue and if you use valet it is $48.00 per day.

Seaport District / South Boston Waterfront / South Boston
This area has been expanding and becoming more and more popular, for good reason. Not surprisingly, the seaport district of South Boston is located beautifully along the water. The area is designed for easy strolling along the HarborWalk, and there are bars and restaurants for all ages and budgets. The Institute of Contemporary Art is located in this area in a contemporary building with an absolutely stunning
deck overlooking the water. In the summer time there are Friday music concerts on the deck of the museum. Nearby, there are many green spaces to enjoy.

The Renaissance is not a pet-friendly hotel. However, the Residence Inn Boston Downtown/Seaport is pet-friendly. It's a Marriott brand, but not as high-end as the Renaissance. It's about 4 or 5 blocks from the Renaissance and is within walking distance of the conference center and other Seaport area shops and restaurants. It's kind of hidden, but an interesting location.
