The Inn At Longwood Medical earns praise for its prime location, particularly from those attending to medical and academic needs. Cleanliness is a highlight, with guests consistently acknowledging immaculately maintained rooms and facilities. Many travelers commend the staff's helpfulness and the hotel's serene atmosphere, complemented by cozy beds.
However, opinions on value diverge, with concerns about pricing inconsistency and additional fees. While the rooms are celebrated for their tidiness and comfort, some guests find them to be on the smaller side and suggest decor updates.

Hotel's Favourite
My husband had to have urgent heart surgery, and being from the Cape I needed a place to stay close to the hospital. This was the perfect place. Only 2 blocks from the hospital, allowing me to walk and leave car in their garage. I was able to book the room only a week before I needed it. I was surprised how quiet it was at night, I was expecting loud city noises. The air conditioning was perfect, I always tend to have problems adjusting hotel room temps. It was awesome having a restaurant and bar right in the hotel. The food was good and the service was impeccable. The hotel is attached to the food galleria which has choices of to go food and drink, and a CVS is right there as well. The staff replaced towels and fixed room everyday, without even being asked, which I find isn’t done much any more. This hotel was a blessing to find, relieving some pressure off of a difficult time. I highly recommend!!

My son and daughter-in-law went into Boston for their weekly pregnancy appt. (37 weeks) and we were suddenly informed there would be an emergency c-section that evening. We live 1 1/2 hrs away but us mothers drove right into Boston. It was going to be a long night so we booked a room at The Inn at Longview Medical because of the location and when we explained our situation, they said they have discounts for families dealing with medical issues and that includes discounted parking. We were blessed with a healthy grandson and were able to just walk back and forth from the hotel to the hospital. Because of the timing of everything, we were a little late (half hour)getting our car out of the garage but no problem. The wonderful gentleman,Brian, at the front desk extended the time on the card so we didn't have to pay extra. I would highly recommend The Inn At Longwood Medical. They were very compassionate in our very stressful situation and you can't have a more convenient location. Thank you again Brian and all the staff. We had one less thing to worry about and such a wonderful outcome.

I love this hotel! My husband is being treated for cancer at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Inn at Longwood could not be more convenient—just a block away from the Institute and two blocks from the hospital. The staff is so accommodating and so compassionate—they often stop and ask me how my husband is feeling. They have a special rate for those guests who have appointments at Dana Farber and the hospital. Because my husband has a compromised immune system, I appreciate the special care that the staff take to clean and sanitize the rooms. I especially appreciated the time that Angel took to help me with my reservations during my last visit. Although the parking garage adjacent to the hotel is not owned by the hotel, the parking attendants ensure that hotel guests have a space when the garage is at capacity. I highly recommend the Inn at Longwood!

As the realtors say, "location, location, location". Easy walk to Dana Farber, Childrens, Brigham and Womans and both Beth Israel Deaconess. The room was clean and beds comfy. The bath was the smallest I've ever encountered. When the did the renovation they blew it with the large rectangular sink instead of a small round or oval to give some more countertop. Service in 2 of 3 times at the restaurant/ bar was truly awful. They need a new food/beverage GM who knows how to schedule, train and hire. Bartender could not handle a total of 5 or 6 customers and had zero personality. There were only 2 servers at dinner and one was fairly new. Both were overwhelmed. Shady "upsell" practices and special prices not followed. Coffee caddy in the room was stocked improperly; no tea, 5 coffee pods, 8 sugar kits, 3 coffee cups and a dozen cold cups. Lotion was not supplied snd would have been nice with all the dry heat and TSA travel restrictions.

Our daughter has a long and complex medical history including a heart transplant just over two years ago. We were returning to Boston Children's Hospital from our home in CT for the removal of her feeding tubes, which she no longer needs. The Inn gives special medical rates to families with children who are admitted to the hospital. Since only one parent can sleep at the bedside we required a room for the night before her pre-op appointment for all of us, and then we reserved three more nights for just me as we were told she would be admitted for three or four days. Thankfully we only needed the room for two of the four nights as she was only admitted overnight for observation. As anyone being discharged from a hospital knows, the process can be slow and it was not official that we were leaving until well into the afternoon, five hours past check out time. A young man named Angel was on the desk and not only did he not charge us for the unused night, but he also took off the night we should have been charged due to missing check out time. I would have paid for that night without complaint, but he did it automatically. The only issue I had with the room was a lack of hot water in the morning, but it turns out that when a large hotel is not very full (there were correspondingly very few patients in the hospital) it takes a very long time for the hot water to make it throughout the building. Since we were on the 7th floor and I didn't know this, I thought there was an issue. Now I know to let it run longer! I would encourage anyone in a similar situation to get a room at The Inn at Longwood Medical, but I would tell them to leave their car in the Chidren's Hopital Garage as you can get your parking ticket validated for appointments and you can get one free parking voucher per day while your child is admitted to the hospital.

While my husband went through a surgical procedure at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, I stayed at this clean, comfortable, convenient hotel. I found good walking trails along the Fens, good take out at restaurants near by and everyone everyone had on a mask!
I ordered room service for breakfast that mistakenly came for two people - they cut my bill in half.....
I had to stay an extra night and day and a half, they charged me a half night, including parking - really important as my mind was preoccupied ....

This hotel is smack in the middle of the great Longwood hospitals and includes very reasonable daily parking with daily repeat exit and entry. Generally 5 to ten minute walk to hospitals. We reserved a room for an assumed three night stay. Sadly things didn’t go per plan and we had to incrementally extend to over fourteen nights. The hotel was able to graciously extend us each time we requested and assured us that we would be able to checkout without paying for additional nights not stayed when our daughter was finally discharged leaving us to concentrate on heavy-duty parenting. Our gratitude is profound. The housekeeping and maintenance staff was cheerful, pleasant and highly responsive. Angel, the day desk manager was especially personable, helpful, engaging and concerned - a truly remarkable and kind man. Again we say Thank You!

Stayed here in mid-October for five nights. Decent sized room for a solo traveler. Everything seemed clean and well maintained. The bed was a little soft for me, but was otherwise comfortable.
I stayed in room 547 and was a little concerned because my first night there the people next door to me were incredibly loud and raucous. It seemed like half of Boston went in out of that room all night long. Fortunately, the remaining four nights were quiet. Not sure what happened. It was the weekend before the Boston Marathon, so maybe they had a pre-Marathon party in there.
The hotel shares a parking garage with The Longwood Galleria, where you can find the usual mall eateries like Subway, McDonald’s, Charley’s Philly Steaks, and Dunkin Donuts. I didn’t get to try The Longwood Grille, though the online reviews of it are mostly positive.
The hotel is located in The Longwood Medical Area within walking distance of Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Beth Deaconess Hospital, Boston Children’s Hospital, and Harvard Medical School. As an added bonus, you can also walk to Boston’s two largest art museums, The Museum of Fine Arts and The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, and Northeastern University.
There are two Green Line T stations ( C and E lines) at opposite ends of Longwood Avenue. The E line, which you can catch at the corner of Longwood and Huntington, seems to run more frequently. From there, you can easily travel to anywhere in Boston proper and eventually connect with other lines within the T subway system, so you don’t really need a car to see the city sights. This is good because navigating Boston is difficult with all the narrow streets and aggressive drivers.
Overall, I would recommend The Inn at Longwood Medical. While it isn’t cheap, it is affordable compared with more centrally located hotels and the convenient subway access will get you anywhere you want to go in Boston.

Amidst the Covid virus circumstance, the Inn is clean and staffed. Zach and the staff are pleasant and eager to help out. It was pretty quiet and empty since the adjacent medical center is only performing essential treatments. The beds are comfortable, lots of pillows, reading lamps, refridgerator(no freezer compartment) microwave. There is no fan in the bathroom and the water takes a while to get hot, there is a proper shower head , no hand held, which is a concern of you have to shower and avoid surgical dressing etc. The ADA rooms have handheld but only large queen beds. The HVAC system is true to its readings but there is a fan that blows across the bed closest to the unit, you might prefer to turn the fan off. It is centrally located and walking distance to many local sites. The attached garage is expensive and you can get a meager 15 minutes max for free to unload BUT tell the parking attendant that you will be done in 15 minutes otherwise he will gladly charge you the full hour.
You can walk from the hotel room to the galleria food court. There were a few places that remained opened despite covid. There is a small CVS in the food court area.

May 26 evening check-in. The registration clerk definitely could have been friendlier, have some warmth, very clipped & cool. The written information about breakfast (nice for a continental breakfast) differed from the verbal info given when we asked ( we would have missed breakfast without asking). It wasn't clear to us that the adjacent garage was the one we should use, seems like it would be easy to put a sign up rather than have to wonder while in that crazy traffic. Our room on the seventh floor was very modest, faced the industrial sides of other buildings with no view or much light. Small bathroom area, very comfortable bed. Could make out normal conversation from an adjacent room the entire evening. Parking was $25 for the 24 hours we were there, but after that, when the medical appointment took longer than expected, we almost maxed out, at 7 hours became $36, goes up to 40 or 45 after that. There are some cheaper garages nearby but it's expensive parking in the area. Easy to walk to many, many restaurants, parks, sites.

Fenway is relatively close. The Longwood Green Line (Riverside "D") stop is about 10-15 minute walk. Then one stop inbound to Fenway station.
Call The Inn during the day and talk to Angel or Alexandra. They're the best, they'll help you
Im afraid in the immediate area, no facilities have a hot tub. We are affiliated with a full gym down the street, but I called them and they also do not have one, they only offer a dry heat sauna.
I certainly would think so. I'd call the front desk of the Inn to be sure.
