We stayed in a one bedroom apartment for 3 nights in October and were extremely disappointed with the accommodation. The entrance is dark and the carpet smelt, the stairs are steep and narrow making it difficult to manage the suitcases up 3 flights of stairs . The flat badly needed an upgrade, walls and soft furnishings were dirty and marked... More

The room itself was nice: spacious with a full kitchen and reasonably clean. However, too many things were wrong with the room. To begin with, there was no thermostat so the room was hot and stuffy with no way to change it. The mattress was covered in plastic so you stuck to it all night long. The clockradio was broken.... This is my second time staying at the Boston Christopher. Rather than a hotel this is a furnished apartment for rent with its own kitchen. I've stayed at the Grand Studio and a one bedroom and both had good standard and are a good value compared to a hotel. The living room in the one bedroom was big and comfortable.... More

Having read the reviews I was rather anxious about staying at this apartment in Boston. We were delighted to find that it was much better than expected. Yes the rooms could do with a deep clean, fittings etc., were quite dusty and the sofa bed was uncomfortable but, the apartment was spacious, well equipped, plenty of linen, hair dryer in... More

Two friends and I went for a convention. Found this place on hotels.com and it was in a perfect location for an extremely good price. As noted in other reviews, you do have to climb stairs as there is no elevator. Other than that, we had no complaints. Very nice apartment. Two of us slept in the bedroom and the... More

came to boston for fun and to catch up with a couple friends for a weekend. Found the Boston Christopher by accident. Was looking for a Hotel in Back Bay but occupancy was limited and those that had rooms were extremely expensive… The process was pretty easy. Made the reservation online through inn boston reservations and received an email confirmation... More

A number of issues: - I was aware that we had to go upstairs without an elevator so be prepared for that. We had to go up three flights of narrow stairs pulling suitcases. -Wi-Fi is terrible. Continually drops you need to logon every time it comes back. Completely annoying and should not be happening with only 9 units and... More

First the good: cute rooftop patio, location okay but Boston is a very walkable City, nice neighbourhood, pillows and bed comfortable, my room came with an outside balcony and I kept the door open a lot to let cool air in, ceiling fan which I kept running for six days, kitchen adequate. Now the not so good: very tiny room... More

First those people advertise with really cheap prices ($100-$150 per night) once you contact them they say that the thing you asked for isn't available anymore and they offer you something worse and much smaller for $350-$550 !!! My boyfriend insisted to go so we did and we were terribly disappointed. The apartment wasn't the same AT ALL than on... More

My plane was delayed and I arrived at The Christoper at 1:30 AM. The street was deserted and I had to call them for the code to enter. The entry opens directly to the stairs that were steep and dirty. My room was on the top floor. There is no elevator, if you have bad knees this is not for... More

Staying in South End

Neighbourhood Profile
South End
Stroll down the beautiful brownstone lined streets while capturing views of Boston’s tallest buildings from a distance. Some of Boston’s best restaurants are scattered around this neighborhood. There are many gems to be found, from jazz clubs to classy bars and restaurants. It is also home to art galleries, interesting boutiques, artsy stores and SOWA open market during the summer months. The South End is a true find in the city, with a more residential feeling than Back Bay.
