We stayed for 2 nights, the hotel itself was in a great position, close to the centre and very near to Boston Common. The taxi driver had problems to find the place as he was looking for Hotel Boston Common and wanted to drop us off on the other side of the common. We got into the room which was...

Thank you for your valued feedback. The "taxi address" on the other side of the Common is 78 Charles Street, we are at 78 Charles Street SOUTH - which is very confusing. I too would be concerned if I didn't have enough hot water and we'll follow up on the complaint to determine and solve the cause. Thank you for...

Once we got there it was all good. Our taxi driver had a hard time finding it and dropped us off at the wrong place. This hotel use to have a different name, it might be helpful to have this on the web site. The bed was comfy, the shower was fine. There was a little noise from the street,...

Barb, thank you for your feedback about the taxi and the name change. The hotel was known as the Milner Hotel until December. We did a major PR campaigns with taxi drivers on the name change which worked well at the time. Yours is actually the first complaint we've had of this type - and quite frankly we thought we'd...

I stayed here for 3 nights and i can say it was lovely. I had a last minute change of plans on the Sunday before i travelled so I phoned the hotel and booked another night, this was not an issue for the gentleman i spoke with on the phone and he even gave me a decent rate as i...

Adam, thank you for staying, and we're pleased you FOUND comfort in our hotel. As noted, yes some rooms are small, but we strive to provide hospitality to make up for that. Even during the Winter we sold out almost every night which does mean changing room type sometimes if you book last minute. We appreciate your business. David.

The hotel is in a great location. If you're happy to be a mere block away from where the action starts for half the price of hotels a block or two up then this is the place to be. For a budget priced hotel we found it to be excellent value. Clean white linen and thick white towels, a comfortable...

Thank you for your constructive feedback and compliments about Robbie, and our breakfast and housekeeping teams. We will also follow up on your suggestion about parking information. Certainly agree on the great location, and great value - especially at this time of year. Thanks for staying with us. David.

I stayed two nights at this hotel. The price was more than reasonable for a single en-suite room but I was offered an upgrade upon arrival and given a double room so I guess I got a great deal. The building is old but kept very clean. The reception staff was polite and helpful. Good breakfast selection. Would definitely recommend...

This is a tidy, low-cost, and well-located hotel. My double room on 3rd floor, facing Charles St., was just big enough and had everything I needed -- except for easy access to power outlets, a minor inconvenience. Although, the ceiling tiles were a little beat up and the floor of the bathroom was cracked. These were not turn offs for...

Thank you for the kind words about our guest service team. "Immaculate" is a great way for a guest to describe our cleanliness of rooms and public space - it's not always easy to be that way in such a historic building. We have begun renovation, and over the next 18 months all rooms will be re-done and ceiling tiles...

The hotel is really well located to local activities and attractions. We pretty much walked everywhere (two minute walk from the Boston Common). The room is basic but clean. Coffee facilities are great. The staff are really helpful and the breakfast is an ideal start to the day.

We were a family of four looking for an inexpensive hotel in downtown Boston ahead of an early morning flight out of Logan. This hotel was cheap and the reasons quickly became clear: squeaky beds that sagged in the middle, causing its occupants to roll together; loud and live music coming from the alleyway outside; a bathroom door that caught...

Yes it certainly was cold this week. A historic hotel presents many challenges, and as you mentioned Milner recently sold the hotel and we will change name later this week to FOUND HOTEL BOSTON COMMON. We completed liquidation of the two upper floors this week and will begin a multi million dollar renovation project within the next few days to...

I stayed 2 nights with my husband. The room was plenty large enough for us, well maintained and, most importantly, clean. Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
