Location is good, but this is really rather a tired mid-range hotel that has echoes of grandeur past. My room was satisfactory, reasonable (but high) bed, small desk and noisy ground level A/C (with just two fan setting –loud and very loud). The room was apparently “accessible” which meant there was no bath but the shower has good strong grip...

Loved this hotel! We wanted to stay close to the Boston Common & Faneuil Hall so we chose the Omni Parker. Valet parking was a breeze & well worth the $40 per day (as for Boston that is cheap)! We were given an ADA handicapped room (even though we didn't need or ask for it) but that was fine with...

Hotel is one of the most historic in the U.S. and a walk around the exhibits in the lobby is very interesting. Good service and great location, close to key Freedom Trail sites, Quincy Market, restaurants and Boston Common. Only downside is the smallish room/ bathroom size (but understandable given the hotel is ~150 years old).

The hotel rooms are small but you can over look this because the hotel is beautiful and the staff is wonderful. Everyone is friendly from the bell staff, to front desk associates and gift shop staff. the gift shop has a coffee shop and the associates remember you and your drink. Unbelievable.

I have traveled to Boston on business over 25 times in my career, but this was my first personal trip. By far, the Omni Parker House is the easiest to get to and then the most centrally located for touring the City. Since I am a business traveler, I am not used to roughing it...but this trip I decided not...

The OPH is a fine hotel with a great location. It has a wonderful lobby but besides these attributes it is an average hotel. The tv didn't function that well and some staff gave us wrong information regarding the questions we asked about local attractions. Although it is a very minor issue, the elevators/hallways were very dusty and the staff...

This historic hotel was the perfect place to stay to explore Boston with our family. We could see the Freedom Trail out our hotel window and the Common and T station are very close. The package we had allowed us to eat breakfast in the room every day which saved a lot of time and let us get going earlier...

Great location for Freedom Trail and historic Boston. Two Freedom Trail stops are directly across the street from the hotel. It is a short walk to Faneuil Hall. The hotel itself has a rich history too. They actually talked about our hotel on the Freedom Trail tour which was fun. Many important literary and political figures stayed or ate often...

I had a 1 person economy room The room was very clean and decent provided everything. It's just very old and everything is carpeted. In my opinion my room would benefit by renovating it to be a bit more modern.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
