This hotel is excellent. It is in a great location, the staff are extremely helpful and accommodating. Our room was very large, fantastic bathroom. Overall, very pleased and would have liked to have stayed longer.

We loved the Taj Boston. It's located right on the edge of the Boston Commons public park. The hotel is warm and inviting. The hotel has a nice modern fitness center complete with chilled water and a well-stocked fruit basket. If you prefer to run in the park, like I do, you just have to step right outside the front...

The hotel is beautiful but outdated. Barely got any sleep because of the noises next door. Bed was comfortable and room service was good but the hotel needs a renovation that's for sure. Ok for one or two nights but wouldn't stay for a long period of time.

I considered many hotels for our family trip to Boston and we were all happy with my choice of the Taj Boston. The location was perfect, the room was well-appointed, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The bell staff were phenomenal, the concierge (Natalie) gave us a fantastic restaurant recommendations and called to book us in, the waiters...

Used to be the original Ritz Carlton in Boston and still has that feel. Comfortable, refined, every staff member greets you with a smile and a hello. Got a great Sunday rate that was less than other hotels in Boston of much lesser quality. Right next to the Public Garden and Newbury Street.

Excellent choice. Good location, comfortable room, helpful amenities (e.g. umbrella, NY Times on door), wifi easily accessible, staff extremely friendly. Concierge was especially helpful. Cafe was convenient for breakfast.

The first time I saw the Taj was on Mother's Day a few years ago and I went in and had breakfast there. It was such a great experience that we said to ourselves that if we were ever in Boston again, we would stay there. We were so lucky to get a great deal. The room we had reserved...

Stayed with family, booked a two double bed room in January for an August stay. On arrival, room had two 3/4 beds, no where near big enough for four people to sleep in. The austere lady at reception implied I was wrong. To her credit, she eventually organised a bigger room, but with roll out beds for the kids. This...

This was our first time at Boston, and we travelled with our two kids. We all loved the city since all the attractions are really accesible just walking. WE in particular loved the Taj, where we stayed, since it is just accros Boston Public Garden, close to the metro entrance and really in the middle of everything you want to...

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
