Great hotel in a great location. Super convenient to Logan with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. The rooms are a nice size and well appointed. You should note that this area is south of Back Bay, Downtown and North End. So its a little...More
I participated in a conference located at this hotel. First and foremost was the hotel's mission of going green - great cosmetic supplements, but in large containers to avoid all the plastic waste, no heavy chemical smells in the halls and rooms, refuse containers for...More
Good location for downtown, airport, World Trade Centre, Convention Centre and cruise terminal. Metro station across the street. Restaurants nearby. Spacious rooms, friendly staff. The hotel has a 'no tipping' policy which adds to the professional feel.

I knew we were onto something special when the doorman and bellman refused tips. The hotel and lobby are beautiful. We did not eat in the hotel so I cannot comment on food services. Check-in was very efficient. We left our luggage at the front...More
Location in growing seaport area. Very close to airport by mass transit
Moderately expensive but AWESOME work out facility, that feels like an exercise club.
Linens and pillows were top rate.
Staff not overly helpful but available if needed, kind of a do it yourself...More

Seaport District / South Boston Waterfront / South Boston
This area has been expanding and becoming more and more popular, for good reason. Not surprisingly, the seaport district of South Boston is located beautifully along the water. The area is designed for easy strolling along the HarborWalk, and there are bars and restaurants for all ages and budgets. The Institute of Contemporary Art is located in this area in a contemporary building with an absolutely stunning
deck overlooking the water. In the summer time there are Friday music concerts on the deck of the museum. Nearby, there are many green spaces to enjoy.

Definitely get away from the area where this hotel is located as it is in a very new area of Boston. You can hike into the old part of town or take a taxi (not too far). Do the "freedom trail" or part of it to see the old sites and learn about Boston's history. You will see an important cemetery near Boston commons which includes the gravesite of Paul Revere and casualties of the Boston massacre (yes, see Boston commons). You can research and download a free audio tour online. Also, get some information at the booth at Boston Commons - it is a guide plus history.
For food, there is a very good modern Italian restaurant just off of Boston commons near the theater - Teatro. I saw lots of larger chain-like restaurants near the hotel. If you like Chinese - Chinatown in Boston has very good food (with very humble interiors).
